DD's room at nursery is closed today for a deep clean. No warning when collecting her yesterday but woke up to a text saying it's a precautionary measure to protect the youngest of the children that attend and no cases have been noted within their nursery.
Am I being silly thinking they wouldn't go as far as closing for a deep clean without a fairly decent reason? I would much rather miss a day of work to keep DD home and away from any possible contamination but can't understand why the closure seems to have come from nowhere. Do they have to let you know if there has been even a suspected case? I am also struggling to see why a deep clean would be needed if they stating there are no cases.
Are any other nurseries doing the same?
