Too early to stop meetings in person?

I’m a will writer. I have on average 12 to 14 meetings a week, half of which are by phone or Skype.
The other half are with local clients who I meet face to face. A few of these will be over 65.
I’ve drafted out an email suggesting that all meetings in person booked in for the next 6 weeks should be switched to phone/video calls, setting out obvious reason.

Before I press send, can I have a sanity check:

  1. Should I send it?
  2. Now or later?
  3. Should I say the meetings will be remote, or leave it as a suggestion?
Thanks all

Personally I’d suggest it rather than make it mandatory, as a compromise at this stage - some people might feel uncomfortable on the phone or on a call if they’re hard of hearing or not technical. Could you sit further apart when meeting (and obviously no hand shaking)?

I think that sounds very sensible and I would send it now. I would definitely specify that meetings will be remote. I'm sure clients will understand, and what you do can just as easily be done by phone/Skype as in person so there's no reason not to in the current circumstances.

Thanks both! Yes older people always prefer a face to face, but I don’t want to risk carrying the virus from a client with bugsy toddlers to the next, elderly person.
