Hi, I am in a similar boat and not sure whether to cancel either. Can you maybe message some of the guests and gauge if they think they will still want to come?

DS having party next Saturday, I booked a bouncy castle and got all the decorations and party goodies etc. 10- 12 kids and their families. What would you do, wise mnetters??

DH said that if nursery stays open we should go ahead as the kids would be mingling there anyway.

But do we risk having most people drop out as they want to be cautious? What if we are the only ones there in the big church hall Sad

I think I will make a decision early next week.

It’s my Ds party at weekend and I’m not cancelling, he spends all day with them at school, two hours extra at the weekend won’t make any difference at all!

Rightly or wrongly I've made the decision to cancel. Just don't think it's worth the risk to me or our elderly parents.i equally don't want to shell out loads of money on food and stuff just to have people (understandably) cancel at the last minute! My view is it's only going to get worse in the next few weeks if the peak is likely to be 10-12 weeks.

Yes cancel it definitely. Tbh I think things are going to be so terrifying in this country in 2 weeks time that a party will be the last thing on anyone’s mind unfortunately.
