Covid-19 and Cosy Commuting

Hi,
I commute on a very over- crowded train service and wondered, if events with lots of people present are being cancelled, then what about standing on a train with loads of people all squashed together? Surely this is also a risk. Haven't heard anyone mention it.

What do you expect people to mention?
I would imagine that, as more people choose to work from home, the trains will get quieter. But in the meantime, there's not an option to suddenly lay on more trains or add more carriages - those kind of changes take months if not years of planning.

Just thought there might be advice on limiting one's use of public transport, as I have heard lots of events have been cancelled due to large numbers of people sharing a space.

I think limiting use of public transport is sensible if you can. I'm now working from home to avoid hell of train / tube / bus. Obviously this isn't open to everyone but it's a good option if you can.
My employer is being extremely flexible.

I'm avoiding the shit out of my uni commute for that reason!
