Just musing really but arguments seem so polarised with regard to this vile virus that I wondered if some shades of grey might be possible?
It seems inevitable that more people will contract Corona, but if things could be slowed down, surely that might just help both life and economy?
Firstly do uni/college students (social science/arts based degrees) need to be in lectures? Could students find everything they need online (I get for practical courses this wouldn't work) but if you could reduce the foot fall at uni's and colleges would it reduce the speed of the disease?
Schools...would it be sensible for children who have a SAHP to be 'schooled' at home or older children to study at home if there parents re out at work? Again reduce the numbers in class and maybe slow the spread?
Work from home....Would it be possible for more people to work at home if they could, perhaps only going into work when they really need to and for shorter stints of time?
Maybe implement shopping times so pensioners and people at greater risk between 10am-14:00 and hand sanitizer on entrance to supermarkets? and younger folk outside these times?
I dunno I just can't help feeling there must be a middle ground.
So if it was up to you, what would you do to minimise the impact of corona?
