What's your employer's response been to people self isolating?

If there have been 20k+ people tested with negative results presumably that's 20k who self isolated "unecessarily" plus others who weren't tested.

What've employers' responses been?. All full of understanding that it's the right thing to do or a feeling that people are on the skive?

Have colleagues and bosses had the same response?

We are an IT company and almost everyone has the capacity to work from home. But last week, someone who had travelled abroad and come back with a cough was refused permission. It was suggested that he "isolate himself within the office" Hmm. After a meeting about it he got permission to work from home, but was told to get a doctor's note. Unbelievable. Obviously that was all managed by someone of the belief that people who work from home are all skivers.

WFH if self isolating sick if actually positive and unwell

we were told if we needed to self isolate we would be suspended so it would not affect our leave or sickness but you would need proof of the need to self isolate, this was a couple of weeks ago.
regards school closures, any time off would have to be agreed depending on the needs of the service, fair enough
