3 year old has a terrible immune system. He's had a bad run of health for the last 18 months and lived off high doses of antibiotics for the best part of a year.

He has had surgery in the last year to correct the problem but still left with catching every bug going, all the time.

I'm so worried about him catching anything from nursery. He only goes a couple of days a week mainly for his development as I'm currently a SAHM. So it's not like we need nursery for me to earn an income right now.

Would you keep him home or am I being ridiculous?

Are there any confirmed cases in your area?

PickAChew · 08/03/2020 20:01

In your situation, I would.

There are cases confirmed in this county but no idea how to find out if it's in our local area. Is there info being published about that?

Yes I would. He is still so young, have a few months off, and review situation in a few months. I have 3 teenagers and if this was a few years ago mine would be off school

Here’s the link for cases by local authority in UK:

I’m going to be pulling my DD off school this week

Babyfairy0923 · 08/03/2020 21:14

What will you say to the school?
We are torn as to what to do 🙁

Janice88 · 08/03/2020 21:15

I would keep him home. Definitely.
