I've been in SLT meetings most of the day as I work in a large organisation and over half of our workforce are customer facing.

Recently we found out by chance a "customer" was in self isolation and told a visiting colleague by chance Hmm adding the Government announcing the second phase of their response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Its been a LONG hard day, and there is still more to be done over the weekend to implement our policy, procedure and guidelines to ALL involved in our organisation.

Large global sciency software company - yes, of course they've got policies and guidelines (reviewed and updated as apt). And an online 'community' board for discussion, and geeks sharing protocols to chart the latest data in various ways....

We do a lot by Skype anyway but there will be more of that rather than travel. I WFH anyway, I'm sure lots of my colleagues will be able to do likewise if it's relevant in their locations.

I work for a facilities company, been told no non essential travel and to do video conferencing where poss, but not an actual travel ban as such.

I think the whole thing is ridiculously ridiculous.

Emergency services admin role

We've been referred to govt guidelines
Set up to wfh
Paid leave if self isolating
Hand gel in reception and cleaning wipes in all areas
But - no change to meetings, conferences, travel etc.

We’ve been told to wash our hands and stay off if we are sick.

DH’s company are on a whole different level. They are banned from using public transport for their commutes (company pays for ubers), they are not allowed to travel anywhere on commercial flights or trains, they are not allowed in the office at all if any member of their household has any symptoms of cold/flu/tummy bug, they are disinfecting all handles every hour and they are not allowed to shake hands.

Sort of. We have to work from home for a week if we go in an airport. Apparently they have other plans if it gets worse
