Can I ask for opinions on playgroups, baby and toddler classes etc? My kids have been going to nursery but are now home for the next 5 days. I was planning on taking them to a few organised activities (think locally run playgroups and baby sensory classes). I have no idea about whether or not I should go ahead as normal or stop all activities like this. The groups themselves are all running as normal. But I have the fear! I'm in Scotland if that makes a difference

I am concerned about this. I took my baby to a baby and toddler play area this week. All seems very clean and staff were cleaning while we were there but every 2 seconds I was having to stop baby putting things in mouth. Could see other children doing same or picking crisps up and eating them, constant face touching. It’s just little people’s natural behaviour but worrying from a c-virus point of view. All my children are in good health generally but husband and I are both in at risk group.

from what I understand the number of children being infected is very low and no fatalities amongst them, so I would say its fine. Also will they be returning to nursery soon? If so they I cant see a playgroup would be more risky,

We went to a baby group this morning and the ladies who run it were antibac wiping every single toy that got put out, and then they were all wiped again when put away, I would say the risk is the same as it would be anywhere else tbh
