Al Aqsa mosque

Probably one of the most famous and well known mosques in the world. Israeli settlers, led by Itmar Ben Gvir an Israeli minister for national security led prayers inside the courtyard. Supported by Israeli forces.

My heart aches. Imagine for one moment Muslims did that to a synagogue. There would be outrage.

It was never about the hostages. It was always about grabbing as much Palestinian land as possible.

This is just a shit stirring anti Jewish thread.
That one poster needs to be banned.

The mosque was literally built on top of the holiest site in Judaism so my sympathy for the horror of people praying in it is limited.

Yes.

Very common for invaders to build over Holy Sites. The Muslim place of worship was built right over the top. I think that's how you attempt to pretend people don't have any right to an area. Build over the Holy sites and suggest they are 'yours'.

Religions are funny things.

Surely you are aware that this was a Jewish Holy site long, long before a mosque was popped over the top? I mean seriously. Perhaps the Muslims grabbed a holy site from the Jewish people?

Your thread is quite laughable in the ignorance of the opening post. Do you actually know any history of the site at all?

What do you mean? The Muslims did not ‘grab a holy site from the Jewish people’.. The first Jewish temple was destroyed about 1200 years before Al Aqsa was built and the second temple about 600 years before Al Aqsa was built.

What is it that your heart aches for, exactly?

It is a holy Jewish site, temple or not that Muslims grabbed to build a mosque on.
Thus being another anti Semitic group who chose to desecrate the same Jewish holy site.

If the stone in Mecca was obliterated, would that make the place a non Muslim holy site, thus giving carte blanche for Others to desecrate it?
Or if the Vatican City was blown up, would that make the place less of a catholic holy site that synagogues or mosques should be built upon because " no cathedral ain't there no more?".

I'm not religious, but I will not stoop to philistinism in order to justify the carpetbagging desecration erasure of religious holy sites just because it is Islamic colonialism and not Christian colonialism.

But your misplaced anger is at muslims rather than at the romans who actually destroyed it.

Exactly, it's rarely mentioned why the second temple was destroyed and who did it. Just another tool to sow anti Muslim racism.

100% you'd never hear the end of it. There would be a million threads on it. But the fact that this was a JEWISH holy site wasn't even mentioned by the OP. The usual airbrush history and pretend only Palestinians belong there. Jewish people worshipped there thousands of years ago before Mohammed was even born.

Resorting to calling people idiots, extremely classy and says much more about the person resorting to insults.

BelleHathor · 22/08/2025 18:02

How sweet, advance searching all the way to December 2023 😅😅😉.

Netanyahu is an idiot, unfortunately he is not on this thread, though I do believe in the old adage of "Never interrupt your enemy".

History will record all the unforced errors facilitates made by the Israeli government and the dire consequences that it will lead to.

So anyone who calls some one on the thread they are on an idiot is themselves an idiot, but anyone who calls someone not on the thread an idiot is not an idiot. Sounds like an idiotic rule to me.
