Conflict in the Middle East
UnSognoAVenezia · 16/03/2025 13:49

“IDF have lies before” Have they? Evidence please with examples. You can’t just throw these claims out like that with out substantiating them. I listen to our own military - the British military- and its senior people have gone on the record to say that the IDF is the most judicious and disciplined military in the world. Those type of organisations are not in the habit of lying.

“the IDF have killed people by mistake before that they first accused of being terrorists” Have you ever studied history before?! All armies have killed people by accident, it’s called “The Fog of War”. How have you got to this point in your life not knowing this. All people are fallible, they make mistakes, particularly when they are under extreme existential pressure (unless you think Israelis should be held to completely different standard?). But the IDF, unlike Hamas (who care more about death and actively pursue it for both their own people and Israelis), investigate what goes wrong and admit when they make mistakes. See the world central kitchen example where an investigation was organised immediately, highlighting the seriousness with which Israel treats such tragic incidents, and learns from them.

“The IDF have killed innocent civilians” Ok you’re being deliberately obtuse now. Who started this war and how did it start, first and foremost? Israel didn’t go into Gaza on a whim, they had a damn good reason. Also, two thirds of the people who were took part in Oct 7 were ordinary civilians (not Hamas). Those civilians weren’t exactly innocent. They luxuriated in the rape and murder of Israeli Jews, Israeli Arabs and migrant workers from other countries. So you have no way of differentiating the innocent from the guilty civilians (for instance, the ones who sold Shiri Bibas and her babies like they were property to Islamic Jihad, the ones who were spitting and stamping on the lifeless, violated dead body of shani Louk and driving it around in the back of a truck like it was a human trophy…they were all civilians).

But more importantly than that, with that statement alone, you are completely denying reality: The IDF adheres to the principles of international humanitarian law, necessity, distinction, proportionality, and precaution. By doing this, it is setting an unprecedented standard that other armies are going to struggle to follow: because of the measures that Israel takes to warn civilians, to evacuate civilians, to conduct a proportionality exercise in relation to every strike that is carried out, and to minimise the collateral damage and harm to civilians. Just because you dont like this fact because you pour scorn on Israel, don’t ignore it. That makes you dishonest. Compre and contrast this to the other side: Hamas does absolutely everything not just to violate the laws of armed conflict, but to use those violations to its advantage. They use a human shield / human sacrifice military tactic to wage their war, a war they started on October 7th when they raped, burnt alive, tortured, maimed, murdered and kidnapped innocent civilians. So if the IDF kill civilians, the innocent and the not so innocent, it’s because they’re targeting Hamas, not said civilians.

But I think you know all this anyway, there’s something else that motivates you.

The Al-Khair Foundation, a Muslim non-profit based in Britain and Turkey, is an aid group that transfers funds to terror groups in Gaza “under the guise of humanitarian activity” and that the organisation has employed at least one senior Hamas official.

So basically, not an "aid agency" but a terrorist funding organization. Not “journalists”, but terrorists posing as "press." Yeah, those are legitimate targets given that their sole purpose is to unalive jews and wipe Israel off the map.

Nice try though.

100%.
Most aid was stolen by Ham*s anyway.
And all those screaming and chanting and jeering whenever some poor, innocent hostages were released - they all looked pretty well fed to me.
But haters gonna hate..

Scirocco · 16/03/2025 14:37

That's not evidence. It's a post on X. Which appears to be broken.

Accusing an internationally active aid organisation of being a terrorist organisation is a pretty serious accusation to make. It's not just accusing an organisation, either, because it's an accusation against the many people around the world working for and with that organisation. So, having evidence to back that up matters. If you don't have any, then it's just potentially libellous accusations.

Thank you. The press is full of bs, don't believe a word. Israel go by law, terrorists go by terrorism. Each terrorist is full of evil and hate.

"Israel go by law"

@Huckyfell do you believe every action that Israel has taken over the past 18 months has been within the confines of International law (never mind moral and humanitarian actions)?

Anyway once again we are not talking about the 9 people that have died, (always the reason for these posts ) I read they were trying to see how 1000 extra tents were able to be located in the area. I saw a video of them laughing and joking taken before the strike.

May they rest in peace and their memories live in in the humanitarian work being carried out by so many.

Who are they fighting in the West Bank? Oh yes innocent Palestinians trying desperately to hold on to their land and homes, nothing lawful about that is there, so yes Israel going by the law is a complete joke

Running a similar story to the one posted a over claiming terrorists in the killed group?

ImmediateReaction · 16/03/2025 17:23

Is this a different group? Terrorists acting as Journalists? It is quite possible that terrorists pretend to be Journalists or aid workers to move around more freely? I wouldn't assume all journalists are what they say they are, after all, anyone appears to be one in Gaza by using their phone and uploading. Many innocent but also some not.

That wasn't the question I asked.

So the international Law of Armed Conflict can be ignored if the conflict involves TERRORISTS?

Suspected terrorists. Remember that not all those killed are terrorists. They’ve killed first and then check whether they’re terrorist

And if they are not they will just say they are anyway.

Not like there is any independent journalists to verify the IDF claims.

Israel killed 8 terrorists if you get to the actual news past all the pontificating. I don't think at this point there is any other view.

Israel claimed they did, we all know how loose their criteria is for what consists a terrorist as exposed by members of the IDF themselves.

Alleged. Alleged terrorists. With the allegation coming from a source with a track record of getting these things wrong in the past.
