Buses in Israel are attacked using explosives.

Shocking news from Israel.
If this is confirmed as a terroist attack then these dregs of society are showing they never ever want peace.

This is a mind blowing post. At the end of a day of such agony, with the absolute evil of Hamas on display, with the news that Shiri Bibas has not been returned. You choose to post this.

Every day since the start of October 2023 has been a day of agony and were we to be expected not to post on a day of agony, then these boards would be devoid of content. It was simply an observation on those bus explosions.

Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. Please expand.

An atrocity was commited against Israel. At least 5 buses were fitted with bombs that if timed correctly would have gone off killing many innocent civilians just going about their business.

Your immediate response to this was to speculate that it's likely a false flag operation.

This despite it has been a well known tactic of terrorists in this region to bomb buses and target civilians.

Yet you still jump to the conclusion Israel is at fault, rather than any of the terrorist groups currently active.

It sounds @as though you are talking as if you have prejudices against Israelis.

You talk as if you hate Israel, people might assume you hate Israel.

Quacks like a duck.

What evidence is there that there were timers and if there were, that the timers were incorrectly set? The only information we have is from Israel and is so far, very vague.

Untrue, my immediate response was that it was 75/25. I never said "likely", I said possibly. Only after Netanyahu stated he was upping the aggression on the West Bank did I change to 50/50.

I didn't jump to the conclusion that Israel is "at fault" I simply stated there was a possibility it might have been false flag.

I hate Israel's behaviour. I don't think that the slaughter and destruction in Gaza was the best response.

Please don't fall into the trap of believing that anyone questioning Israel's actions is a "Jew-hating", "from the river to the sea" , "Hamas - supporting", terrorist apologist. That's just lazy thinking.
The situation is far more nuanced than that.

Mouthpipette, have you actually used that technique? It's been many, many years since it was standard practice.

Reports coming in from Israeli media that some suspects (including an Israeli citizen) were arrested this morning.

It's looking more like a continuation of the internal fight between Netanyahu's office and Shin Bet (who are currently investigating a Netanyahu aide for ties to Qatar).

You misunderstand the news I’m afraid. The people arrested aren’t part of this ‘false flag’ operation you’re erroneously alleging, but unfortunately terrorists with Israeli citizenship. Also, you had my last post deleted, but the essence of my post was to ask for any verified reports of ‘false flag’ operations of domestic terrorism by Israel, without referring to YouTube videos…

Fortunately, the Israeli media is openly reporting on this. The people arrested today are accused of transporting the as of now unknown suspects to plant the bombs on the buses.

https://www.kan.org.il/content/kan-news/defense/862639/ :
"Bat Yam bus bombing: Two Jewish-Israeli suspects arrested
The two are being investigated on suspicion of transporting the terrorists who placed the explosives on the buses"

"The Shin Bet arrested two Jewish-Israeli suspects, residents of Holon and Bat Yam, for questioning this morning (Friday), on suspicion of involvement in transporting the terrorists who planted the bombs on buses in Bat Yam. The two are also charged with attempted murder.

At the same time, the hunt continues for the suspects who planted explosive devices last night in three buses parked at different locations in Bat Yam and another bus in Holon. The first two exploded within minutes of each other, and another exploded about fifteen minutes later. Another device that was supposed to explode was also discovered on the bus and neutralized. There were no casualties as a result of the explosion"

https://www.haaretz.co.il/news/politics/2025-02-21/ty-article/.premium/00000195-27e8-d2a5-a39d-e7f899820000

"Two Israelis were arrested last night (Friday) and transferred to Shin Bet interrogation on suspicion of transporting the explosive devices found yesterday on buses in Bat Yam and Holon. The court issued a publication ban on the details of the investigation."

(both articles are in Hebrew but most browsers can translate)

I will await the court hearings, which hopefully we will get to see/read about depending on whether the gag order is lifted.
