Well, a starting point could be civil, criminal justice and military interventions within the limits of international law, and working with people who want peace to find a route to a 2-state solution.
Occupation, annexation, human rights abuses and likely war crimes are not the way to get people to believe a country or force is serious about co-existence. Just as Israel has suffered and its citizens need protection, Palestine is suffering and Palestinians need protection too. There are many things that the people in Palestine and the people in Israel have in common (including shared/parallel connections to their homelands), but it's hard for people to see that when there's so much wrong that is being done and that has been done bilaterally.
