Many of us here are parents. This mother has shared her experiences of giving birth and trying to protect and feed her children in the midst of this conflict.

She and her family have risked their lives for her children, been displaced, shot at, and narrowly missed being hit by an air-strike while in the al-Mawasi area.

A very sad read. I cannot imagine how scary it must be trying to keep your children safe and healthy in Gaza at the moment. Reading about her experience shows that there is no safe place they can go and it’s just down to sheer chance whether they are bombed or not!

My mind frequently goes to mothers in Gaza. I gave birth to my second child in early November and cannot imagine the hell they have, and continue to go through. My God.

My newborn was in NICU in November at the time when the hospitals and NICU were running out of fuel. Every evening I’d leave my newborn but every morning I’d come back to the hospital; the building was there, the machines had a secure supply of electricity and most importantly my baby was alive and looked after. The trauma on the poor mothers.
