I know it's mainly women and children being injured.

But, the men of Palestine. They deserve some recognition as I'm seeing many young men....doctors,rescuers, press....all working flat out to help these people who are being bombed out of homes daily

I am watching a lot of clips on Tiktok and the babies clinging to young doctors as the doctors sing/pray with them is heart wrenching. The relentless digging in rubble and just getting on with it. I watched one young man replace a lost hijab to a lady as she was being helped out of the rubble. That little gesture got to me.

Can't help but be moved by these young men

Definitely, every Palestinian civilian is going through hell and those working to help others have an astounding amount of resilience and bravery.
I saw a photo of a paramedic broken down in tears at the unrelenting workload due to almost constant calls to injured and dead people, they must be working through a considerable amount of trauma.

Even the people who are journalists are carrying out the roles of de facto ambulance drivers. Although this is the moment of worst in humanity (bombing people) but citizens of Gaza are really showing the best in humanity.

Mmm, the men are also firing weapons, controlling strategy, manipulating media. Violence generally comes from men. If a few more women were in charge would we have such bloody and destructive conflicts?

We are well aware. Note that the thread is not praising Hamas.
Personally, I don't reserve my sympathies based on country of provenance. The horrific actions of the IDF don't stop me feeling sympathetic towards Israeli civilians.

You are right op

hotblacktea · 23/10/2023 18:36

sure, brave men above ground and cowardly animals in the tunnels below hospitals and schools, directing attacks on babies and women and israel, to be carried out by (surprise, surprise) other men
fuck men

thats the reality of most living there now unfortunately , I follow the journalist Motaz azaiza I found out that he lost members of his family and friends, but he’s still out there reporting , searching for survivors , carrying civilians to hospitals.
it’s heart breaking.

I also follow him and byplestia. Their day to day is so gruelling. It’s frightening to see how much weight byplestia has lost since this begun.

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 23/10/2023 19:31

I too follow Motaz

I don't doubt the men of Israel are also rallying round and doing the same

It's the worthy men, I suppose the real men, who are stepping up. Puts the cowards to shame

I agree OP, not all men are evil, we are seeing the good ones really stepping up.

HvalaALot · 23/10/2023 21:07

I don’t understand the point of this thread. Who is not feeling sorry for the men?
