Rhesus Negative & trying to concieve

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who can shed some light on this Rhesus Negative thingymebob and what effect it has on trying to concieve, if at all?
I recently found out I am Rhesus Neg and have since heard nothing but horror stories about how it can affect your chances of having a baby.
Am I just reading to much into it? So long as the docs are aware and I get these anti-D injections when required will me and my future baby be ok?
We're trying to concieve at the mo, only on CD8 of cycle 1 so early days but is there anything I can do to help things along and prevent the Rhesus Neg from hindering things?
Any pointers would me much appreciated.

Over and out (for now)

I'm Rh Negative and have never heard a horror story about conceiving due to Rh Neg. I've had 3 pregnancies, one was ectopic which was nothing to do with Rh Neg just very unfortunate and 2 healthy pregnancies resulting in two healthy daughters. No problems conceiving and that is with just one tube.
Good luck

I'm A Rhesus neg and got pregnant 2nd month of trying. My understanding is that it only becomes a potential problem in subsequent pregnancies due to the production of antibodies, which is why you get the anti-d injections. But dd is nearly 3 so that's just my vague recollection. It does make you popular down the blood donor centre thoughm.
