Hi just wondered if anybody could help me, i started recording my temperature from this month and it doesnt have seemed to shifted much since ovulation, it was in the 97.2, 97.3/4 range and now its 97.7, 97.6 so not much of a jump...ive been TTC for 10 months now and use CBFM which always shows a peak day at around day 13/14 however I do only have cycle lengths of a range of 25-27 days so somethimes I think I might have a short LP of 9/10 days....do you think that maybe i'm not ovulating as its not a big temperature rise? I always thought I was as my periods are regular and the CBFM shows a peak but reading on here it can just show the surge and you might not neccessarily ovulate - its all so confusing!

Thank goodness for MN though its so good to ask questions to others that are going through the same

is it a consistent rise? so does it stay up more than 3 days? are you looking for other signs of ovulation as well.. egg white discharge, checking your cervix position?

I charted my temp, scrutinised discharge and pee'd on ovulation sticks for good measure before I had an idea of when I was ovulating, so I share your obsession!

Hi absent, I've been charting for a few months and just got my BFP yesterday .

Your temperatures sound similar to mine, my pre-ovulation temperatures were usually between 97.2-97.4 and luteal phase temperatures 97.6-97.9. Are you using Fertility Friend - basic membership is free and it will tell you when it thinks you have ovulated so you have a second opinion ISWIM. Once you've charted for a few months you should get a better idea of how long your LP is, and if it is short, there are various things that you can do to try and lengthen it.

Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler - fantastic book. Also pop over to the Charter's Anonymous thread - a bunch of lovely ladies, if I do say so myself

Why yes, I would second that BV and was just about to say the same. OP, sorry, I am a bit clueless with Farenheit, agree that secondary fertility signs can be crucial in identifying ovulation; I normally ov'd CD19, thrn suspected strongly was going to ov around CD11. By confirming with CP, CM and opks I decided I was SWI'd away and got my BFP this week! But I could EASILY have missed it this mont (and thank God I didn't!). Yes, come and join us all on CA!

hi girls thanks so much for replying that is so good to know that your temps were similar to mine babyvalentine and that you got a BFP - congratulations that is fantastic news!! and congratulations to you also littlesilver.....such lovely news....i'll go and join CA as not been on there before.

Thanks also for your reply Mrs Gubbins...i get all the other signs such as CM, and two peaks on the CBFM but just thought that temperature charting was the only definitely way to confirm you that have ovulated....I have the book TCOYF so just reading through that!

Thanks again girls
