Have name changed for this

We all have discharge of varying degrees throughout the month - right?

I've noticed that all my sexy black knickers now have what I can only describe as diluted bleach stains in 'the area'. Does this mean I have killer ECWM????

I have read somewhere about alkaline/acidity and after TTC for 18 months I'm as the name suggests...clutchingatstraws now.

ANd slightly insane... please help?!

I think people do have slightly different acidity levels in their discharge, but I don't think it would get to 'sperm-killing' levels . I don't think I have one pair of purely black knickers any more, but I do have 2 lovely children . But that 'bleaching' affect can also be cause by uric acid. I'm not suggesting any continence issues, there's uric acid in perspiration too.

On the TTC front, have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility by toni weschler? It explains what the different types of discharge you get during your cycle means and when it is best to TTC. Sorry if the book is old news to you. Good luck.

If you have been ttc without success for 18 months then a visit to the GP would be in order.

Some women can produce antibodies that affect their partner's sperm to its detriment but this is in no way linked to cervical mucus.

You are well beyond the initial stage of trying things in the book mentioned and you need to consider seeking medical advice asap.
