Any one due to test from 25th March 2010?

eggsovereasy · 15/03/2010 12:40

Hi,

Just worked out I'll be able to test from 25th March 2010. I am determined not to POAS any earlier, obsess or eat my own body weight in chocolate before then.

I would really appreciate some support?

This will be month 14...

rosiep I am loving how it's not just me. I have the second FR stick throbbing in a drawer upstairs! But after my slip yesterday I am NOT testing till Friday!

Repeat to self 'I am NOT bothered either way, in fact a BFN would be quite handy actually. I'm not even bluffing, it's the actual truth...'

eggs how about the Canaries? Lots of lovely sun this time of year xx

eggsovereasy · 17/03/2010 10:36

get those tests out, lets have a POAS party!

Is it really too early to start on 3dpo???

I've ordered some more, hope they arrive soon...

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 12:30

Oh god, only 3dpo??? Its going to take ages till next Weds!

eggsovereasy · 17/03/2010 15:00

Symptom Watch Day 3

I've been prodding. Definitely painful on the left side.

Also feel slightly nauseous but this might have something to do with the junk I've eaten at lunchtime.

Huge appetite.

Don't really fancy a large glass of red as per usual.

Have spent 3 hours reading bbt charts on TCOYF...

Surely these are good signs????

OP posts:
MrsFC · 17/03/2010 16:04

eggs definitely good signs!!

Make sure no one in the office catches you prodding though. You could come accross a bit weird....

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 16:24

Lol, yes no public prodding (of which i have been guilty of in the past )

I never get sore boobs pre or on AF so if i do i would take it as a pretty good sign myself ...

PandaSam · 17/03/2010 19:22

I always get sore boobs pre AF so its a rubbish test for me

What else can I check for?? Currently 8dpo...what should I expect and when can I POAS!

StiffyByng · 17/03/2010 21:14

Hello. I am completely new to Mumsnet and to trying for a baby. This month is our first attempt. I used an OPK and we did the necessary at the right time of month. My period is due 26 March, so the long wait is in progress.

I don't think I have any symptoms - when might any appear? (So I can start fooling myself into having them...). At the moment, I do have a very mild ache in my pelvis, like extremely mild period pain, but am wary of it as I think I may just be imagining it.

Good luck to everyone on here hanging on till the end of March!

rosieposey · 18/03/2010 08:30

Panda im going to start testing at around 9dpo (but then i have no self control) i got a postitive with my DS early and i noticed the day before i took the test that i had soreish boobs (something i never get unless im pg) so no reason why i shouldnt find out relatively early this time.

I dont know whether actual ovulation was on the Sunday that i got the positive opk or the Monday (or even on Tuesday) it is said to be up to 3 days after you get the positive opk but im counting on it being roughly Monday so therefore ill start testing on Weds 24th Its all a bit complicated though isnt it? I havent started imagining anything yet but im sure i will after the weekend.

eggsovereasy · 18/03/2010 10:24

Panda test now, I would any more symptoms?

I get sore boobs every month after ov. However, yesterday I did have some cramping, which is unusual?

Been for Day 21 blood test today. So awaiting results anxiously now.

Hi Stiffy there are sooo many symptoms... the main one is googling obsessively anything to do with pregnancy symptoms!

Hows everyone holding up?

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 10:48

Hi Ladies,

Can I join in please? I'm Day 21 and have been TTC for about 5 months now.. Had an MC on 26th Feb at 6 weeks so still very sad about that but got the all clear to try again so we did although it was very difficult after MC. Still naturally now I can't help but wonder and hope could this month be the month!

I'd love to test soon but I guess Day 21 is too early.. I got a positive OPK on Day 14 so presumably ovulated then on Day 15. Basically have to wait another week now realistically.

Waiting Waiting Waiting!

rosieposey · 18/03/2010 11:06

HappyGirl you are 7dpo so you can probably start testing at around 10dpo if you want to, of course it depends on what you hpt you use and what sensitivity they are but you dont have long to wait So sorry to hear about your MC its rubbish isnt it? I had one 9 months before i conceived DS at 11 weeks and it was shite, doesnt mean anything to subequent pgs though i know you will probably be nervous.

Eggs good luck with your results - let us know how you get on.

LittleB · 18/03/2010 11:38

Hi everyone, I've just been crying my eyes out watching 'one born every minute' on sky+, it makes me so emotional. Dh won't let me watch it with him around and today is my day off with dd at school so I decided to have a rest, work has been manic this week.
Hows this for a new symptom spot - I have a stinking cold, was mild at first then got really bad yesterday, I had several really bad colds when pregnant with dd, so I'm now partly thinking perhaps my cold has got alot worse because i'm pg - I know my logic is hard to fault!
Methinks the phrase 'grasping at straws' might spring to mind, but I'll grasp them anyway!

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 11:56

LittleB - ah we all grasp at straws! I think it shows how much we want it!

I've always had relatively sore boobs prior to AF/RTD (not sure which acronym to be using anymore!), then my third month in I had horrendously sore boobs prior to AF and was convinced I was preg, I wasn't.. then the following month v sore again and I was preg (MC'd though).

So now I'm here and like a week to go basically and honestly I'm feeling my boobs all the time.. and hoping i'm feeling something but bottom line is that they are heavy and a bit sore but not pregnancy sore :-( It's comforting reading this thread and realising I'm not the only crazy person who checks their boobs loads!!

I just desperately would love a happy and healthy pregnancy, DH would just be over the moon. I just think we'll both be devastated again if/when AF/RTD arrives next week. We were so so down after MC and then trying again kind of gave us some hope I guess. I know we'll have hope again next month if this month it doesn't happen but oh i dunno. it's a tough process!

Such a good thread with the date we are due to test! - really good idea and sorry for the brain dump - just not having a great day

i'm absolutely ravenous now like tummy rumbling like crazy - mind wanders could it mean something - of course it doesn't at only day 21 though!

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 12:00

All this talk of testing would really make you want to POAS wouldn't it!

I'm going out to Asda at lunchtime and I think I'll have to be severly strict with myself not to buy a sneaky test - obviously it would be crazy i know i know but awh how amazing would it also be!

eggsovereasy · 18/03/2010 13:44

i might start POAS from 23rd...

will somebody stop me

Symptom Watch

Boobs are feeling very heavy today - tick
I have a spot - tick
Wee is green - bear with me! (too many B vits me thinks)
I was asleep at 9pm last night - tick

3 out of 4 cant be bad???

I soooooooooooooooo want a BFP. Please please please.

It's not going to happen, I just know I should have been more forceful on my second peak day aaarrghhh

OP posts:
rosieposey · 18/03/2010 14:11

You dont know that eggs, i have made up my mind to try and have fun with this - even though i cant wait till next weds so i can start testing (i might sneak a cheeky one in on Tuesday though) i am going to test each time with the thought that i am absolutely not pg - that was it will be such a lovely surprise if and when it does eventually happen.

Not much point in symptom spotting here either as i only get sore boobs as a symptom anyway and sometimes (with the expection of DS) it comes later rather than sooner.

PandaSam · 18/03/2010 19:09

Just read through all the posts since last night and thought OK I might try and POAS (just to see what happens!)

Went to the bathroom to look for them in the cupboard - not there. Phoned DH to see if he knew where the were and apparently about a week ago he decided to see "if he was pregnant"!! (TWICE!) - then he reliably informed me that he's not

Probably for the best - would only be a BFN. Will have to go out at the weekend on a scout for BOGOF offers to stock up again.

eggsovereasy I do love your sympton list! I've spent all day jiggling my boobs about!!

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 19:42

So have I PandaSam and eggsovereasy!! Honestly all day been feeling and wondering!

Just been speaking to a friend of mine who was a midwife and she reckons I may just get AF early this month after miscarriage.. I guess in one way that's good as less of a wait and can start trying again properly then but equally I was half hoping that I may be pregnant! Hmm.. I haven't told her we started trying straight away though as she had suggested we wait a month for dating reasons etc. Hard to know

HappyGirl1 · 19/03/2010 09:53

Got home last night in PJ's and DH was like 'your boobs look huge' - I had thought that all day after the boob prodding going on on this thread yesterday but didn't want to let myself believe! Then we both looked at each other and were like no no no it can't be.. funny taste in my mouth the last half an hour too.. could it be metallic? Honestly I just do not know how i'm going to last the next few days.. I did take atest this morning and got a BFN surprise surprise given that i'm only at day 22.. I've got no tests left now either and we have a really busy weekend ahead so i think i'll try and hold out to buy one on monday to take on tuesday morning.. will I last though!!?

LittleB · 19/03/2010 10:23

Happygirl, that sounds promising, let us know if you hold out until tuesday[wink}.
Pandasam, can't believe your dh did a poas! pmsl!!!
eggs - are spots a symptom too? I've got more than usual, an I do think my boobs might be heavy!? Will have to ask dh later!
Rosie, its hard waiting isn't it.
In some ways though at least while we're waiting to poas we're still optimistic, if i poas on a stick soon I know i'll get bfn and be disappointed, but still slightly hopeful until af arrives. I know I won't be able to help it though. But i'm really going to try and hold out until thurs, which is day26 of a 26/27 day cycle, so if I use a fr I should get a correct result, right? It helps that I don't fanmcy testing before work and i work mon-weds. Still I've got a wedding next sat, at least if i get af I know I'll be able to indulge in some champagne!

HappyGirl1 · 19/03/2010 10:34

LittleB - boobs being heavy def a good sign!

I dunno I just don't think it'll happen for us this month as this will be straight after an MC but apparently it does happen sometimes - we'll see. Waiting waiting waiting.

I totally agree while we are waiting to POAS then we are optimistic.. it's such a cycle i find i go from being disappointed AF is here, to being determined around the OPK time, to being disappointed so long to wait to find out, to being optimistic it might actually happen!

Who knows though who knows

SpanishLady · 19/03/2010 14:22

I am really unsure about when I ovulated (if I did) - did CB smiley face OPK on Tuesday (Day 11) and got a positive/smiley face - so as assuming if I did ovulate (had quite painful stitch in my side that day and the next)then today is Day 14 of my cycle and possibly 3dpo or 2dpo but as I read you can ovulate up to 3 days from LH surge might even be just 1dpo

still with me?

so anyway still plan to just test on the day I'm due on which is Friday 2nd April or in other words..a lifetime away

HappyGirl1 · 19/03/2010 14:32

oh poor spanish lady - that's exactly what i was talking about earlier.. i do think once you pass your OPK day you feel like its just ages and ages away.. having been there this day last week i can tell you that once you start hitting day 6/7 dpo then you start to feel hopeful again that maybe just maybe things might happen this month.. Fingers crossed for you Spanishlady

SpanishLady · 19/03/2010 14:38

aw thanks and to you too - you know 3/4 of my hopes are for my husband he is so eager and hopeful - he'll cry buckets if I did fall pg as he is a bit puddle of love really (he'd hate me saying that!)

  • I am of course imaging all sorts - every pang, flicker, cramp etc is of course a baby even though I think at this point medically impossible.

whats also funny is I am getting those tummy 'movements' well all over so unless this 'baby' is speeding around my midriff, bouncing off internal organs and the walls of my body, I am just nuts....grin
