Ultrasound confirmed too many cysts on 1 of my ovaries - he told me I was day 10 of my cycle (i have no idea as periods irregular or non existant - hence the investigation) so got blood test 11 days later (hopefully was day 21??)tested for progesterone and prolactin.
Just wondering if anyone knows what happens now???

&&& also slight rant - why do they say you must get bloods done on day 21 when I'm having the test becasue I don't bloody well have a 'cycle' argh

Bloods on day 21 will show elevated progesterone if you're ovulating. And if you're not - they won't - which will support the PCOS diagnosis that's already indicated by your ovary scan and your irregular/infrequent periods. What I mean is, a negative result is useful info too. They do realise that day 21 is not 7 days post ovulation unless you have 28 day cycles.

HAve you been TTC for a while? HAve a look at www.verity-pcos.org.uk for lots of useful stuff and some very knowledgeable women with PCOS. I would guess the next step would be a discussion with a gynaecologist about clomid - which is very effective for a lot of PCOSers (including me ).
Good luck Confuzzled.
