Hey lovely people

I've just come off the October bus and because of my long cycles my spreadsheet says that I skip November and would be due in December.

So I thought I'd start the December bus.

Here's the start of the stats - looking forward to some friends hopping on board soon.

so sorry lucy Stay positive honey x x

Loujalou · 17/03/2010 09:03

So sorry to hear your news Lucy.

SpanishLady · 17/03/2010 12:51

I am also sorry Lucy

Asianbabe - thank you for adding me.

Quck q - must you always have cervical secretions to ovulate?

for the last few days I have had some/a little cloudy 'stuff'in my knickers and then on Tuesday my ov prediction test was positive - that day and a little today I have had quite painful stitch like feelings on my right hand side - but so far no 'stretchy' cervical secretions - I have had those before but dont get them each month though do always have the stitch like pain.

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 14:00

I dont think that you have to always have CM - i havent for a while (or havent noticed any) but my opk was positive this month for a day, im no expert but not everybody does i gather. Added to that if you are taking certain meds i think that can affect it too.

mumatron · 17/03/2010 15:06

welcome brassica spanishlady afaik you dont need to get cm to ovulate. i know i dont always get alot. and if you are swi i can sometimes be difficult to monitor it.

cd 29 so due on tomorrow or saturday. havent tested again yet. god knows how i have managed to resist! with my last pg's i have had a faint positive 4 days before af so not holding out much hope. not many symptoms either. fairly sore/swollen boobs and a horrible taste in my mouth but thats about it!

boba82 · 17/03/2010 15:29

mumatron god knows how you are resisting?! I'd have peed on about 5 by now. Good luck.

mumatron · 17/03/2010 15:37

boba i normally have done atleast 5 by now. just havent bought any this month.

boba82 · 17/03/2010 15:47

God mumatron I wish I had some of your self control, I will try and follow your example this month

SpanishLady · 17/03/2010 15:52

thanks everyone!! well that is something -

Im right in the middle of my (apparently) fertile days so we are certainly SWI - my poor husband is trying to be really upbeat and encouraging and I am planning on the next cycle as a way of heading off any tears over a period arriving on 2nd April - my cousin's fiancee has gone into labour today and I am delighted how I can be excited for them and not be all dramatic that it is not me as unfortunately I was abit over friends who conceived last month!

digitalgirl · 17/03/2010 15:52

8dpo, no continuation of yesterday's spotting so was just a one-off. Quite heavy cramping this morning but that's nothing unusual at this stage.

Anyone testing this weekend?

decafgirl · 17/03/2010 18:29

Oooohh! digitalgirl sounds good to me!

Am just at the point of EWCM and the joy (seriously!) of PO ov S each morning - fingers crossed for a soon! DH is claiming he has a sore neck - I have ZERO sympathy I'm afraid!

Good luck to all of you testing soon xx

PinkiePoo · 18/03/2010 08:19

help guys.....

On CD14 and still no sign of OV. My doc said there maybe times when i dont at all, as i am irregular, does anyone else have this problem!

Really getting to me, WHY CAN'T I BE NORMAL?? Sorry rant over.... .

I sometimes get the cervical secretions but not every month too......so surely i must ovulate at some point right??

Chipper10 · 18/03/2010 08:36

Hello PinkiePoo, I am on CD 20 (of between 26 and 28 days) and only now am getting EWCM, so now despite loads of SWI since CD8 am thinking that I ovulate too late in my cycle to get pregnant anyway.
I wish I was normal too. I am so fed up of all this.

No help at all I am afraid, just wanted to join your rant. Hopefully you will ovulate soon.

SpanishLady · 18/03/2010 09:15

Hi - what does EWCM stand for please? Also, in terms of thinking you are not ovulating what are you using to determine if you are or not? eg are you taling temp, testing with a ov predictor test etc?

smallblackflowers · 18/03/2010 12:09

spanishlady EWCM is 'eggwhite cervical mucus' and relates to the appearance and consistency of your most fertile secretions!

chipper and pinkie many things can delay ovulation, an day 14 is just the average. I ov'd on day 19 this month, and had ewcm from days 16 - 19 and a +ve ov test on days 17 and 18. The best way to confirm ovulation is through temp charting. I have learnt so much from reading 'Taking charge of your fertility' by 'Toni Weschler' its a real eye opener!

PinkiePoo · 18/03/2010 12:59

Thanks for the help ladies......

chipper10 does this mean if i ovulate late then i can never get preg?? really worrying now!!!!!

twolittlemonkeys · 18/03/2010 13:11

I know I'm joining rather late but having had first AF in a long time I'm getting excited about ttc again now!

Smallblackflowers - thanks for your suggestion, I may have to get that book.

PinkiePoo - I am no expert at all I just read somewhere that some people think that if you ovulate late then it doesn't give the embryo (or whatever it is called at that point) a chance to implant. Your cycles are longer so you have plenty of time. I have one child already and have had one mc so even with a late OV you can get pregnant. For other reasons my periods are all over the place, I have been wanting to get pregnant for 2 years this month so is all getting on my nerves. I didn't mean to scare you further I apologise.

PinkiePoo · 18/03/2010 14:45

chipper no worries, just caught me on a bad day.

Feeling a little down in the dumps and just keep thinking it is never gonna happen

Chipper10 · 18/03/2010 14:55

PinkiePoo. Me too, but it will. I am going for the lots of SWI from CD 8 til AF (if I can make it that long DH and I are running out of steam just as I am getting to my fertile point!). Good luck.
