TTC and migraines - how am supposed to do this without chopping my own bloody head off?!

I have had severe migraines for 20 years, recently mad worse due to a whiplash-type injury caused by an idiot cyclist who knocked me over (on a pavement, at a bus stop ).

I take amitriptyline every day, something which my gp has told me to continue taking through ttc and hopefully eventually pg.

When not ttc I rely on copious amounts of imigran and over-the-counter stuff like co-codamol, asprin, ibruprofen etc (often mixed) but now this is all off-limits and I am now suffering from my 9th day of migraine out of the last 30.

What can I do?! This is really getting me down I am seeing a physio, and am waiting for referrals to both an acupuncturist and a neurologist (I like to combine my trad and complementary med ) in the meantime though, what can I take - is imigran really off the menu?? Actually my GP told me to carry on using it but he's sometimes way off so not sure I trust him.

Please help. Even just for support (offers for assitance with head-chopping gratefully received...)

Is your blood pressure healthy? I only ask because since I have been on BP meds, I have not had a headache let alone a migraine, it's been quite miraculous for me....just a thought.

Huge sympathies to you, I might even venture a hug though it is frowned upon on this forum (!) because I know just how awful these are and how they limit your life....hope someone more use will be along soon.
