Arse. I was really hoping someone would know something about this. I'm waiting for an appt with gynae consultant at the mo but had a horrible year,feel like I Know Nothing and thought some non-google info may calm me down.

Google=bad for my brain.

dont google!

what has caused your scarring?? ie..is it due to endometrosis, PID etc etc

I guess it all depends how severe the scarring is..have to been TTC?

Hey,thanks for posting. I don't really know how bad it is. Would guess it came from having to have 2 erpcs due to a mmc (discovered at 12 weeks) last year. I also had em cs when ds born nearly 2 years ago.

I only know there is any scarring as I was pg before Xmas and had bleeding at 5 weeks..they decided to scan,couldn't see pg, and the radiologist told me,apropos of nothing,that I have adhesions at top of uterus. No further details...

Anyway,a week later (Xmas day,marvellous) I had a tubal mc...was in hosp,more scans etc.

Was sort of left after that with no info or idea if the tubal mc had caused any damage,my lovely gp now referred me to specialist to get tubes looked at..during this time I looked up 'adhesions' and am now worried that they were the cause of the ectopic/that I won't be able to carry a successful pg again. Obviously I plan to ask gynae about this. Am pissed of with radiologist for telling me about adhesions in this way,doesn't seem helpful.

I know no one here can really give me answers,it's just horrible being so much in the dark!

Excuse long post I tried to be concise but there are a lot of parts to the story!

they probably wont be able to tell you much unless they carry out a laparoscopy..the fact that you have had intra uterine pregnancies is a very good sign..albeit not a happy outcome..but could be completely unrelated to having adhesions..when you had your ectopic..did they remove the tube?? this obviously slightly reduces your chances of being preg again.but you still have a good chance of conceiving naturally...I know lots of ladies who have gone on to conceive after ectopic pregnancy.

Hi Ginhag

My doctor told me that adhesions from my first CS (in my abdomen, not my uterus) could have caused my ectopics, but we will never know. The good news is that I managed to conceive with my other tube, so it is possible.

As for the possibility of adhesions in your uterus, I guess if they are blocking your tube that might have led to your ectopic, but again, the good thing about fallopian tubes is that there are two of them.

I was also told that there was something in my uterus (after an HSG in my case). They weren't sure what it was but a hysteroscopy showed nothing after all. If you do have adhesions they can operate to remove them. Women do conceive again after this sort of thing - it can be ok.
