OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

Hi, I'm no expert in these things, but as far as I know implantation bleed is usually light spotting and sometimes cramps that occur from about 6-12dpo (usually 8-10dpo), when the fertilised egg implants in the uterus lining.
I had it last time, it felt just like my period was about to start, but a week early, and then it didn't IYSWIM. I just felt like it was going to from then until I tested a few days after it was due. Had a sort of 'full' 'heavy' feeling.

However, I think lots of women don't feel this and still get BFP. And last time I felt like it, it turned out it actually was AF coming a week early

decafgirl · 23/01/2010 22:06

I think I'm about to crack...someone stop me...I've got a test squirreled away in the car...help me!!

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 22:23

Be strong decafgirl!! Wait until the weekend and we can test together

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 22:38

Ok, I just used the due date calculator on here (coz I am bored, have already done it a dozen times and it wouldn't change), but I noticed it says my conception date would have been 14th Jan, which just happens to be one of the very few days of SWI this month...

I really need to stop getting my hopes up!!!

decafgirl · 23/01/2010 22:47

I think it's passed, the test is now in the house but it is safely tucked away out of my eyeline! It's sooo hard! Must wait till the weekend, must wait until the weekend, must wait until the weekend...

ILoveGregoryHouse · 24/01/2010 07:48

Ooh totallyfloaty, hope your bra doesn't snap somewhere embarassing, like Waitrose.

Just popped in to say bye. I've defected to November bus as AF arrived this morning. Good luck to all you testers this week.

nymphadora · 24/01/2010 09:32

Lol at the bra snapping!
Sorry to see you go gregoryshouse will be seeing you on there I think.

Cos of all the stress last week & still to come we are not trying this month just not preventing! Just to take some pressure off. Will get the bloods done anyway & when things are calmer dh can do his bit

TeaFan · 24/01/2010 10:13

Lol at your due date antics Lorelai, I did the exact same thing and it got my hopes up too!!!

digitalgirl · 24/01/2010 10:34

Well done for resisting decafgirl. You are a strong woman.

Sorry you're on the next bus ilgh but may also see you there sometime this week.

nymph not preventing is a perfectly good way to end up pg, it's how I got my bfp in nov.

Have had quite severe pre-menstrual cramps this morning, which seem to have subsided for now. But I keep running to the loo everytime I think my period has started only to find more cm. So I'm nearing the end of the 2ww when everything is either a pg symptom or an AF symptom. It's put me right off my coffee today.

Am now doing that thing where I come up with convncing reasons to test earlier than planned. I have a really busy day directing a shoot on Thursday where i will be offered coffee on an hourly basis. Do I test in the morning so I know whether I can have more than one cup? Or will it not make a difference if it's a bfn as there will still be a niggle of hope? So might as well wait till next weekend when I am more likely to be late. There, decision made. I will wait as planned.

smallblackflowers · 24/01/2010 10:40

Morning all, just to let you know that I too am defecting to the November bus as AF arrived this morning. Good luck and fingers crossed for lots more October BFPs.

Well done on not testing decafgirl!

Sorry to all those who AF has got

I've had a bit more light spotting this morning, and cramps. Still seems too early for AF, but would implantation bleeding come and go, and last more than 1 day?

lucylev · 24/01/2010 12:32

hey girlies,

how's everyone doing? I haven't paid much attention to the whloe ttc this month am hoping if i dnt worry as much as lst month and think on it to much it may happen this month
will start 10 days of bding tomo and fingers crossed

BUnderTheBonnet · 24/01/2010 12:34

I think implantation bleeding can last a few days lorelai. Good luck!

manchestermummy · 24/01/2010 13:06

Hi,

Can I jump on please? Am ttc DC2, cycle 6, period totally irregular! I have no self control and am considering testing this afternoon as dh and dd are out. Waaaaay too early but hey, what have I to lose!

nymphadora · 24/01/2010 13:23

Hi manchestermummy were you on one of the other buses? Think I have seen you before

manchestermummy · 24/01/2010 13:27

Yes nymphadora indeed I was! I was on the August bus and actually missed a period - completely and utterly gone. Had pregnancy blood tests, and GP was just in the process of arranging hormonal tests when AF arrived. Funny thing is that since coming off the pill in March (wasn't ttc then) my period have been light and strange but this one was like a "proper" period, iykwim. So am back on the bus hoping for a fruitful ride!

legallyblond · 24/01/2010 16:13

Now I know I'm not actually on this bus, I technically on the Sept bus, but seeing as everyone from the Sept bus (apart from all the wonderful graduates of course) has hopped on here, I just thought I'd share... I finally did a test (cb digital) this morning (as I am on day 33 of a 28 day cycle) and it said "pregant - 2-3 weeks"! BFP!!!!! Still in very happy, slightly emotional shock... although its early days of course...

TeaFan · 24/01/2010 17:15

Hi all, I seem to have disappeared, could someone add me back on please?

TeaFan TTC#1 Cycle 6 UCL 29 CD25

and more importantly Congratulations legallyblond!!!

digitalgirl · 24/01/2010 17:16

Congratulations lb that's fantastic news! Good luck for the next 9 months.

Eadwacer · 24/01/2010 17:36

Allo allo allo. Congrats LB!! Good luck an' all that!

Just dropping in to say I bought some ovulation stick things and they are driving me bonkers. Despite erm bodily evidence, and the date in my cycle, they insist on saying I'm not ovulating, so 'course I am all in a pickle and convinced I cannot ovulate. However, wiser women than me have said they're fairly rubbish (please all agree and tell me they're crap: it'll cheer me right up!).

Still hoping to be on the October bus but think it's a leeeeeeeeeetle optimistic.

TeaFan · 24/01/2010 17:45

Eadwacer, the only positive i've had on OPKs was from the £20 for 5 clearblue variety! On cheapies I get nada... have given up on them anyhow, I just BD every day I can when I have EWCM. Plus, it's hard not to involve DP in the whole 'i'm OVing' thing when you're POAS everyday, at least this way there is a bit of mystery IYSWIM

So anyway, they're crap, bin 'em!

Loujalou · 24/01/2010 17:49

Can someone add me to the bus

Loujalou TTC#2 Cycle 10 UCL 27ish day 11

Waves at Teafan. Have decided to hop on. Am in shaggathon week and feeling bit more cheery.

digitalgirl · 24/01/2010 17:54

eadwacer ov sticks ime are a complete waste of money. They measure a hormonal surge which can be very very brief in some women but doesn't mean you're any less fertile or that your egg won't last long. You've probably missed poas during the surge. Having lots of ewcm is a much better indicator that you're fertile. Just keep having sex. Once the ewcm dries up you know you've ovulated. Or if, like me, you sometimes confuse ewcm and semen then you can do something a bit more invasive and check your cervical position. This takes practise but is a good way of cross-checking your bodies natural fertile signs. If your cervix is high and soft then you're around the fertile phase. If it's low and hard then you're not. Also supposed to check the same time each day, preferably in the shower.

So you've either missed your surge or you're just about to have one. Or you haven't got ewcm just a fanjo full of spunk from all that shagging you've been doing. And you're yet to ovulate. Either way I'd ditch the ov-sticks, last time I ttc'ed I actually got a false positive. Got a smiley face one weekend, indicating a surge. Two weeks later, no bfp and no period, wasted a shedload of hpts until my period came another two weeks later. So I got the hormone surge but no egg.

Some women chart their temps, which is just as obsessive as weeing on ov sticks but far cheaper.
