OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

No prob QueenFee I'm sure there is a strawberry left in here somewhere.

addictedtomn pleased you are still laughing about the ridiculous sympton spotting!

SilverBoots · 19/01/2010 10:14

WOW, I can't keep up, this bus is so full!

No symptoms here, but only 4dpo!

Well done Bessie on finding the holy grail your BFP!!!!
One down, 45 ( !! )to go!

I shall now resume looking out of the window at the vast landscape that is the land of limbo, aka the 2ww...

Boots x

Bessie123 · 19/01/2010 10:43

Thanks all for your kind congratulations. I had a mc a few months ago so am very nervous this time round. Wishing you all lots of BFPs.

sparechange · 19/01/2010 11:56

Hello ladies,

May I jump on board?
All this bus hopping is proving to be good exercise...

I really, really thought this was going to be my lucky month and have been symptom spotting like mad, but she got me 3 days early. Feeling a bit down in the dumps, to be totally honest

Passes tissues to sparechange Me too. AF has appeared, as predicted. I have allowed myself the now traditional five minute sob in the shower and am now trying to gather myself together to face the weekend, when I'm going to visit my newly pregnant-without-even-trying sister.

It's enough to make me take up smoking again, I tell you.

Eadwacer · 19/01/2010 13:45

armi gah. Am so sorry - especially as having to visit your sister. Reassuring/ nerve-steeling pat on the shoulder coming your way.

addictedtomn · 19/01/2010 15:04

armi i'm so sorry. i also have a sister that can get pregnant with out even trying and it is quite depressing to see her with her dd.

Fairygodmother1 · 19/01/2010 15:12

know exactly how you feel, my sister has two that she easily conceived & my bro's girlf just had a baby! I'm the elder sister & I'm the last to pop sprogs (taken 2 years so far. I'm on cycle 6 of clomid!).

We're all entitled to that sob!

2 colleagues announced today that they're 13 weeks pregnant.

I had to disappear intop the loos for a wail.

BUnderTheBonnet · 19/01/2010 17:35

I've sent off for some ovulation stick things, because my ucl now has no u element at all, seemingly. It should be called a random cycle length.

Do the sticks tell you when you're about to shag like rabbits ovulate, or do they only tell you that you have already ovulated? My wide potential range of cycle lengths mean my poor dh would be at it for about a fortnight if I can't narrow it down!

BUnderTheBonnet · 19/01/2010 17:36

Darn it! First time I tried that.

shag like rabbits

smallblackflowers · 19/01/2010 17:37

Sorry to those who have to deal with AF's arrival - think I may also be joining that depressing club as have just had a little spotting, you never know it could be an implantation bleed, but am pretty sure that its AF announcing her imminent arrival.

nymphadora · 19/01/2010 17:38

I just stick with the continuos shagging. Since neither dh or I am working properly I have no idea whether it works but the more you have the more you want.

And the more grumpy you get when you dont get any

smallblackflowers · 19/01/2010 17:40

Bunderthebonnet - they tell you that you 'may' ovulate in the next 48 hours, as they measure a hormone surge that should trigger the release of an egg, but doesn't always.

You also have to do them at the right time of day to catch the surge as it is a pretty fleeting thing, I use them and very rarely have been told that I'm about to ov even though my temping tells me that I have.
Ask away if you have any more questions as I know a bit about them!

addictedtomn · 19/01/2010 18:19

BUnderTheBonnet as smallblackflowers says they show when your about to ovulate, ie with in the next 48 hours, but some times they can be hard to read because (well mine anyway) start off with a faint positive and get stronger and stronger, but its a negitive unless the line is as dark as the test line. i used them the first time we were ttc, and found they were really helpfull (especially as for me i then knew af would turn up 14 days later) but this time around i havent got around to getting them

i prefered the digital tests (but are really expensive) as they tell you when its positive rather than trying to work it out for yourself, i used to use the normal untill it was getting stronger then use the digital untill i got a positive.

addictedtomn · 19/01/2010 18:22

i forgot to say, i may be joining you at the back of the bus, i've been having painfull cramps today but no af... could it be a pregnancy symptom??another one to add to the list of symptoms i think, cramping but no af (and its nothing to do with the fact i'm due!)

i will not test till friday, i will not test till friday, i will not test till friday...

QueenFee · 19/01/2010 18:33

Sorry for those of you who have had to suffer a visit fm AF

I have felt sick and tired and am trying not to symptom spot think about it. Guess it could be AF about to arrive

digitalgirl · 19/01/2010 20:23

Sorry for those trudging to the back of the bus. Cd1&2 is always the worst.

Have been cramping a little today. But it's way too early for it to mean anything, will be really surprised if my period comes early as it lasted nearly 8 days this cycle so can't have ovulated earlier.

Also have big hair (that well known pg symptom). But that could be from a hasty session with the hairdryer this morning.

decafgirl · 19/01/2010 21:26

Hi, I'm just joining in with the symptom spotters!

I've felt sick for about 4 days now and the only thing that helps is eating (that was my first sign before AF was even late with DS) my boobs are a bit tender but perhaps I should stop squeezing them just to check!! I have a ridiculously sweet tooth but just the thought of chocolate makes me want to puke. What do you reckon? Preggers or mental?

smallblackflowers · 19/01/2010 21:34

Oooh, sounds promising decafgirl...fingers crossed for you

addictedtomn · 19/01/2010 21:44

decaf i want to say mental, but that makes me mental too!

Hello all, af's got me, time for me to hop on the October bus! I'll be temping and using ov sticks for the first times and so doubtless will have lots of daft questions. I've concluded the I have NO FRICKING CLUE when I ovulate. Before all this ttc lark I thought conception was oh so simple...how wrong I was! My cycle has been a different length every month since I started counting.

Sorry. Hormones all over the place, horrible cramps all day and, of course, no bfp
