I don't appear to have much, if any, EWCM. Does this mean I am not ovulating?

Thanks.

I wouldn't like to say one way or the other.

Do you use ov sticks? thats the only way you would ever know for sure.

Not necessarily.

The only way to be 100% certain you are ovulating is to have blood tests, but I also think that charting your temperature can give you an idea of what is going on. Beware of OPKS, which confirm that the LH surge (which precedes ovulation) is happening, because it is possible for your body to "gear up" for ov but then not do it or for you to have more than one LH surge per cycle.

Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water as otherwise you may well not get EWCM. And if you want to chart temps/track EWCM I would recommend getting a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler - it is very informative on all of this stuff.

Good luck

Don't panic though because women may only ovulate for example 9 out of 12 cycles per year which is normal, it's only because we're watching out for it we notice sometimes we don't.

I don't get much EWCM. I think it's correct to say that if you're having regular periods, it's likely that you will be ovulating, but yes, blood test is the only way to be sure.

However, I increased my scanty EWCM by taking evening primrose oil morning and night on CD1-15, plus drinking a glass of grapefruit juice every morning.

I went from none to plenty in the space of one cycle.

Not pregnant yet (AFAIK) but I hope the increase in EWCM will help.

Thanks for the answers ladies... I am 35 and to my shame I don't know enough about this whole TTC business and time is running out !!

My only experience of pregnancy ended in miscarriage in September, and I spent a few weeks recovering from the D&C, so I'm trying to work out whether I am back to normal (even tho I'll never be "the same" sgain). Now it seems all my thoughts are occupied with being desperate to get pregnant again - its all consuming!!

Will have a look out for that book - knowledge is power it would seem...
