Hi i was just wondering if there was anyone out there with a disabled partner who finds it difficult to actually get to the baby dancing before worrying about fertility. My husband is disabled with MS and finds it tiring to walk 100 mtrs, so can't do much physical exercise. When it comes to sex there's more to think about (and be distracted by) than just being in the mood. Anyone else have similar worries?

Hi Babydancer,

I don't really know what to say but I did mark this thread to watch, as I really feel for you. Hopefully this post'll bump the thread up a bit and then someone more useful might see it and be able to contribute something better than I just have!

So sorry to hear that you have problems before you already begin. We already have a DS who is 6 and have been trying for DC2 for about 4 years and in that time I have had two miscarriages. Aside from that I have a prolapsed uterus so the mechanics of 'the deed' are not good at the best of times.

Have you thought about talking to your GP. Under the circumstances you may qualify for some treatment. It's worth a try. If you don't ask you don't get. If the answer is no, then maybe you could think of going private maybe?. Have you thought about considering IUI for about £1000.

Good luck.

Thanks for your replies, I think in a few months we might talk to our GP and see what advice she can give us, everyone has their own problems i guess, thanks guys.

Would doing some DIY intervention with a turkey baster help? I know it's not very romantic, but it would perhaps be less tiring for him?
