I think Nymph just misses us all! x

UmBongo · 20/11/2009 16:21

Nice to have you back on board nymph, although I am sorry you have to be back if you see what I mean!! I was wondering where you had got too!

FloweryBoots · 20/11/2009 19:10

mabh
We're on same cycle day, same UCL and both TTC #1, I'll join you in that 2ww! I'm not doing anything to find out when I ovulate and don't know so we're aiming for a bit more BD yet!

I think I need a good slap to prevent symptom spotting though. I have purposely tried to stay inocent about what symptoms might be, and knowing when OV etc. to try and keep things relxed for the first few months at least. Not working though! Last couple of days I've had weird dull ache in back/tummy a bit like when AF on the way, but I am NEVER early and not due for couple of weeks yet so of course I think, ooo maybe that's a symptom. I surely couldn't get symptoms after only a few days even if it dos work this month. Like I said, good slap required!

nymphadora · 20/11/2009 19:48

Just had my birthday night out

Ended with me crying in tesco car park

it's the only night for 4 weeks around my birthday that the kids are at their dads. I wanted to see New Moon. Dh said about half 4 you better phone up & book tickets . So I phoned and it wouldn't recognise my voice and the website doesn't take bookings.

So we set off early to find it was booked up [surprise] so I said ok we'll go for a meal. Get there get last table(corner by the toilets) and I look at the menu to find only veg options involve goats cheese (gone off cheese when I started with M sickness) and chillies( love them & just found out I'm allergic. So I walked out left DH and sat in the car crying til he caught up.

Don't think my hormones are quite settled yet

nymphadora · 20/11/2009 19:51

Didn't just join to moan

lifeistooshort · 20/11/2009 19:54

Was just lurking because I saw nymp was on there. waves at nymph and big hug too

I just wanted to congratulate kaylo and the other graduates too

FloweryBoots · 20/11/2009 20:48

Oh boo for you Nymphadora. for now, have some chocolate or ice cream! Go and have a lovely, yummy, it's the weekend and I derserve a treat, nice breakfast out tomorrow morning. I always feel like going out for breakfast is a luxurey and a bit frivolous! Or go out for a great big Sunday lunch on Sunday.

Not the same as a night out without kids but something nice you can do with DH and DCs and still get to have a birthday treat.

Doesn't it suck that places often still only have a couple of veg options, and there's usually something yuky in them (mushrooms are my problem!)

nymphadora · 20/11/2009 21:14

Hi lifeis

we had the family trip last weekedn but I reeeeeeaaallly wanted to see New Moon as my treat and just wish DH would book things instead of me doing it!

flowery I dont eat mushrooms either. This place is usually good but the chilli thing has really thrown me

My first choice for tonight was Zefferellis in Ambleside - Veggie restaraunt and cinema BUT Ambleside is flooded so doubt that will be happening soon!

Mabh not sure if you know Backbarrow? I had my hen day at the Spa there last month and that is well under water

I did really miss being on a bus its so much friendlier than in the main MN , noone recognises me out there

Muser · 20/11/2009 22:28

So here I am, day 15. Think I OVed Mondayish. I've decided I have a long luteal phase.

My boobs look bigger. This could be due to the amount of chocolate I've eaten in the last week. MrM says my areola look bigger. Also been bloated all day. Probably the pizza I ate last night.

Oh I do like to symptom spot crazily!

I've had spotting but still no dreaded witch. If its going to come I wish it would come already. Oh well maybe its just teasing me.

Anyone poas-ing today. Think we need some more good news.

PoppyIsApain · 21/11/2009 15:46

I agree Loujalou we need some more good news to cheer everyone up. Give us some hope ladies please

Mummy369 · 22/11/2009 00:50

Sorry not posted for a while. Been busy BDing over the past week so have a good excuse

Has anyone used the Wilko's OPK's? Used a pack this week and either didn't ovulate or kit not sensitive enought. TMI - Had plenty EWCM tues/weds so possibly ovulated bit early, but cycle been quite erratic for past 4-5 months.

Now for the 2ww! Already symptom spotting - crazy! Been spotty, overtired, bloated, aargh!

nymphadora · 22/11/2009 08:56

What does ov pain feel like? Had pains in right side yesterday, like stabbing, on and off for a couple of hours. Can't identify it otherwise but it's a bit early

Muser · 22/11/2009 10:50

Sounds about right to me nymphs. It can be a bit like period pains, or more stabby than that.

Am now DPO6ish. Boobs feel weird. Firmer. I have had people groping them to check this. Well, the husband anyway. He agrees. Nipples are sensitive. Can't decide if I'm a crazy freak, have a new PMT symptom that starts long before period, or am pregnant.

lucybrad · 22/11/2009 10:53

here hoping muser . Im only on CD6 and have decided to BD frantically all month , because I have no idea when i ov, as my cycles have ranged from 26 days to 36 days. I dont think i trust OPK's as they have never been conclusive for me. Trying hard not to get obsessed lol

mrsZaC · 22/11/2009 12:26

Hey ladies, sorry not be on for a few days, birthday weekend so trying to forget all about it. still no AF but BFN, think the pill is just taking it's time to wear off ah well! what would you ladies reccomend for ovulation testing? xxx

pointsmakeprizes · 22/11/2009 18:48

mrsZaC I use the clearblue fertility monitor - it is expensive to start of with but you can pick up a good bargain on ebay and resell it again later. I have also used the normal clearblue digital opks - the ones that give you a smiley face when you are about to ovulate, I liked those one - again expensive though but means you don't have to worry about interpreting lines.

i have also started temping this month but keep forgetting to take my temperature before I get out of bed.

I ovulated this weekend, think today which am really pleased about as it means I ov on Day 15 and not Days 20 - 22 as normal. Started taking evening primrose oil this month and using acupuncture so think this has regulated my cycle. Even if I don't get my BFP at least my cycle will be a week shorter than normal so I can start over again quicker.

Good luck to anyone testing soon

x

pointsmakeprizes · 22/11/2009 18:50

Forgot to say - Congratulations to those with the BFPs - wonderful to see them already, there should be at least another 10 BFPs before the month is through so there will be a few more lucky ones!

Muser · 22/11/2009 18:53

Right, some of you at the front of the bus really need to POAS!

Am at the back of the bus and wondering if anyone has any chocolate cake, I can swap for some ice cream. Oh well onwards and upwards am thinking of getting one of those clearblue fertility monitors but not sure although they are cheap on Amazon.... 60 squid seems a lot but would be worth it if it did the trick. Am also ordering Taking Charge of your Fertility from the library as that is supposed to be really good.

Lia any word on the soy? Are you going to try it this month might try to get some.

Have been sobbing like mad as everyone seems to be getting preggers but not me. Feeling a bit more cheery now.

Pour Lou, here have some chocolate cake. I hope you do better next month, do you temp at all? That might be a cheaper option than OPKs.

SparklyAlice · 22/11/2009 20:06

Hello ladies

Congratulations to all those BFP's!
Chocolate to all those without

I am on day 15 of cycle today. Had EWCM on monday afternoon and tuesday. DH out til very late monday night, then abroad tuesday - wednesday, have had early nights wednesday and friday nights, and today getting cramps in left side (as usual) so going to go up to bed soon just in case it is ovulation pains and not some other random cramping.

Have been a lot more laid back this cycle, mainly i think because i have been so busy with other things i haven't had time to stress. At least with christmas coming up it should help take lots of minds off the stress of babymaking

manchestermummy · 22/11/2009 20:08

Hello and huge congrats to all the graduates!

Have peed on many, many sticks this weekend, aand all of them have been BFNs. I've had nothing that could even pass as a vague sympton, so I think I will be in need of the chocolate soon...!
