Lack of Breast Changes & Soreness

Hi there. I'm 6 weeks pregnant, but have no symptoms at all. Absolutely nothing. Needless to say, this worries me somewhat. I would have expected at least some breast tenderness, but nothing. Has anybody else experienced similar? Many thanks

Hi Katy and congratulations! Some women get no symptoms at all - personally I found things tend to kick in about 7-8 weeks. Is it your first? Come and join us on the Due in January 06 thread (under antenatal clubs)

Hi Katy, I'm about the same pregnant as you, would agree with Rachey - come and join us on the Jan thread!

Also agree that some women get no symptoms - after all, some don't even know they're pg for several months (some not till the baby's born! ).

I had no symptoms at all with dd1 until about 7.5 wks,then had sore breasts on & off for a few weeks & that was it-nothing else at all,no morning sickness,indegestion ect.

With dd2,I had no symptoms til 8wks,in fact the midwife asked me if I'd actually done a pregnancy test & was I sure! It wasn't until around 8wks I got tender breasts & started feeling sicky.

I think it depends on how sensitive your body is to the pregnancy hormones.Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy!

Hey, don't knock it - enjoy every symptom-free moment you get. With my second I had morning sickness from days after conception. I knew for sure that I was pg and only did the test to convince the GP, as I'd been having morning sickness for two weeks by then!

As for boobs, mine have never done anything during pregnancy, they just get a bit heavier-feeling and quite sensitive between about weeks 8 and 12 and then go more-or-less back to normal. They don't change size either, not until well into breastfeeding. And because my bf bras are all soft sports-type, I don't notice the change in size until after I stop feeding and go back to ordinary bras. Then the money saved by bfeeding is blown on underwiring!
