Wondering wether to buy one of these ?
Anyone using it - would love to know what you think ?
Would you recommend it ?

I have a regular 28 day cycle with 13-14 day LP.
Already temping but not much good at the CM checking.
Oh, and its the only gadget I don't own yet LOL !

Many thanks for your help,

Bx

I used persona (which is a fertility monitor designed to PREVENT pregnancy) before DD1, then used the Persona machine to conceive DD2 (just used the red days as a sign I was fertile). Very effective.

I use persona and just about to switch to CB monitor (I got mine brand new from Ebay for £45 and 6 months worth of test sticks (I'm a pessimist!) for £30.

I love persona- but I switched because my ov is irregular and sometimes persona misses it so I wanted something that would keep trying til it found it!

Am not going to start using it til May (Have march cycle then a 3 week holiday in April where I plan on not checking or thinking about TTC but come May will let you know! Am sure there are lots of other Mnetters who swear by it.

I'd suggest to just keep temping as it sounds like you know what you are doing and when you are ovulating, I don't think the CB monitor would tell you anything different to that. Plus you'd save some money by not getting it!

I was a huge fan of www.fertilityfriend.com as once you've entered your temps it tells you everything you need to know an the bonus is it's free.

I never was that 'forensic' about checking CM, you know you will be most fertile the two days preceeding ovulation therefore those days you should (in theory) see signs of the fertile egg-white mucus present. I never bothered logging sticky/creamy mucus at other times of the month.

Sorry if TMI but the day you are most fertile you'll feel 'damp' on and off the whole day. And perhaps more horny than usual??

Good luck with TTC!

I loved it - and it worked really well in allowing me to get to know my cycle. That was really helpful for me as I have some medical problems that made it tricky to know what was going on (I was having regular ovulation but no periods for a while).

It is a lot less hassles than checking mucus and temperatures. Just wee on a stick fist thing in the morning, dead easy. The only possible downside is the cost.

29 weeks now is the evidence it works!

By the way, yes you can start it on day3 - up to day 5 actually. You have to start it at the time you want to test each day and it comes with instructions to tell you how to change the cycle day.
