Consultants & work-provided health insurance

Hoping someone might have some insight on a random thought:

As I'm approaching the point of visiting the doctor about lack of TTC joy, it occurred to me - is this the kind of thing that health insurance would cover? Mine says that it doesn't cover normal pregnancy and childbirth but I assume that investigative stuff doesn't come under the heading of normal.

And as a secondary question to that (probably the more important one) - mine is work-provided insurance, if I use that for anything related to TTC is there a chance that it could get back to my HR department? I don't know if there's any kind of reporting system as it's not my own insurance. I'm reluctant to let work find out if it can be avoided in case it damages promotion chances!

Would be interested to hear anyone else's experiences with this.
