Recommendations needed for natural progesterone cream

I have decided to try using natural progesterone cream to help with ttc no2. My luteal phase is too short, presumably because I am still breastfeeding ds who is 3.

There are all sorts of different websites selling it and wondered if anyone could recommend one for me?

Also, has anyone used it whilst breastfeeding? Most of the bumf says that the levels are lower than you would find in late pregnancy, but then go on to say not to use it when breastfeeding. Presumably if the milk is ok during late pregnancy for a strapping 3yo, then using it shouldn't be a problem?

Hi. I also have a short luteal phase and have just ordered some Biovea. I will let you know how I get on - am going to start with only the half recommended dose to see if I can lengthen the LP by a couple of days.

any particular reason for choosing that one? Or are they much of a muchness do you reckon?

I had this one recommended to me, on the basis that it was easy to apply (one dose is one push of the squirty thing on the top, like a liquid soap dispenser) rather than the ones where you have to mess about measuring with teaspoons / syringes etc, so I went for it for that reason. It has just come today. I am going to start using a low dose during the second half of my cycle, taking Agnus Castus up to Ov day (which I have done for the last 2 months, but it has only increased it from 7 to 9 days). Good luck - I will let you know what I think!

Ease of dispensing sounds like as good a reason as any! Especially for a lazy arse like me.

I took agnus castus for a few cycles too and it made damn all difference.

I seem to be on around 11 days just now which is almost ok, but obviously not quite long enough given I have been trying for 2years. I also spot for up to 10 days or so into my cycle which is also a sign of short LP.

Good luck with it, I hope it works for you. I'll get ordering mine now I think. Is there anything in the instructions about how to use it as an aid to ttc or is it just all menopause/PMS stuff?

Hi I am going to try this too. BUT I ordered Serenity cream from some place in Guernsey nearly 4 weeks ago and it still hasn't come. Even allowing for Xmas post, I don't think much of this. In fact, I'm going to phone them right now. However, it is meant to be a very good variety being "bio-identical" to natural progresterone.

Well I am going to follow the PMS instructions first, then up it to the max if necessary. I also spot up to day 9 in my cycle, OV around day 19, then AF day 28. What a pain. Have you seen your GP? Mine doesn't 'believe' in short LPs. Very helpful!
Good luck.
grownupbabes I hope you get yours sorted too. Four weeks is rubbish, get them told!

Yes, I went to my GP. She was all for referring me for tests, but I said there was no point in referring me unless the hospital would do the tests while I was still feeding. So she phoned them and they said that no, they wouldn't do the tests until I had stopped.

I've ordered the biovea so will see how that goes.
