Question about ovulation predictor test

Hi everyone, I wondered if you could help with my question...is there any link between the length of the LH surge in a given cycle and the fertility of that same cycle?

i.e. if a LH surge lasts for 24hrs (i.e. ovulation predictor tests are positive for 24hrs), then is that cycle any more fertile than a cycle whose LH surge is detectable for 'only' 12hrs?

I'm just curious, thanks for any answers!

As far as I know, from what I have been told on here, and LH surge, though a good indicator of ovulation, can happen throughout the cycle for different reasions. Not sure about the length or strength of an LH surge but I didn't want you to go unanswered.

I'm using a fertility monitor and consistantly get 2 days where I get a 'peak'.

I think the general advice is to have sex as much as possible during and after the LH surge.

tbh dont think it makes much diff.
its only measuirimg conc of LH in your wee which is affected by how much water you are drinking etc.

Thanks for your replies. I ask because I've noticed that some months my LH surge lasts 12hrs and some months it lasts 24hrs. I just wondered why this is the case and if it made any difference but I guess it may be due to normal hormonal fluctuations.
