Clomid - side effects?

Who here has used Clomid?

These hormonal mood swings (and verging on feeling rather deressed too) and not sleeping - the Clomid causing it???

almost definitely. Have not taken it but am a pharmacy technician and would say that anything linked to emotional health such as depression, mood swings and insomnia is almost definitely due to clomid- not a nice drug to take. Is it lasting all month?

Thanks. I am just starting month 5, so only a couple of months to go. It lasts at least a couple of weeks from taking the tablets - not sure if last week or so after that is normal menstural hormones or the Clomid. That and the failure to concieve is probably taking its toll I guess. The calms type sleeping tabs not helping for the insomnia either.

The pressure is horrible- just waiting every month is enough to drive anyone potty.

Have you tried any relaxation techniques?

Zita West details some fab positive visualisation techniques in her 'how to get pregnant' book. Well worth a look. I know you are a long time TTCer so I wont patronize but are you looking after yourself in general? TTC is emotionally draining and it is important you are drinking enough, eating well and doing some gentle excercise.

Good luck x

Yes, know relaxtion techniques. They don't help with the emotions and hormones though. TBH I don't feel particullry stressed over the TTC (been going n for so long, lol but work is stressful - gladly I finish in Feb there/

Been TTC for 4.5 years now for #2 (#1 took a couple of years in all too but n Clomid there). Been using Clomid since summer. Back to see consultant in Jan, after my 6 months are up.
