lalatele - I've had two babies and two miscarriages, so I understand the paranoia, but I do know something and it's this:
Some pregnancies succeed and some don't regardless of what you do.
With my first miscarriage I was so careful, stopped taking any risks, behaved myself, obsessed constantly, got to six weeks and miscarried
With my first child, I did everything wrong, fell off ladders before I knew I was pregnant, ate the wrong things, built walls blah blah blah. She came out fine
Next miscarriage - well didn't even realise I was pregnant so definitely wasn't doing anything helpful - and was toting a heavy toddler round most of the time.
Second child - did everything wrong, still toting toddler round, eating blue cheese, getting food poisoning, travelling etc. - yep, he's fine too.
You see, it's got very little to do with what you do, it's simply whether or not the baby is strong. By all means take your vitamins and look after your own health but please don't feel responsible because you aren't. Sometimes babies are not strong enough to survive and miscarry - and it's really sad but it wasn't because you did something wrong. Most times, whatever you do has no effect on the outcome.
Oh and congratulations
