Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Hi Heeby, Elliegant, thanks for your kind words, I'm trying to stay positive... I actually ov'd three weeks after my mc, and this is my first 'real' cycle since then - I just assumed (naively) that my cycles would be as they always were once AF had come again, but I guess not. That's interesting about your change of cycle length, Heeby - I suspect mine may be a bit longer now. Sigh. Maybe that egg will pop in the next few days. It's really getting to me as we've decided to wait this cycle out, and now the wait is becoming longer... .

WanabeMum · 03/11/2008 12:06

Oooh heeby im so excited for you!! Here's hoping!!

JClaire im so sorry the witch arrived, how horrid. Never mind, now's your time to do everything you're not supposed to when TTC!

Well ladies, im feeling much better today, not that worried because at the end of the day my day will come (to quote c1indy!). Plus i get to try out the Deanna plan to it's full effect next month and I can make sure that DH has minimal alcohol intake too!

Elliegant · 03/11/2008 12:14

Good for you wannabe, no more pickled swimmers eh! , glad you feeling better.

villagemum you must be really frustrated, hope something happens soon for you.

WanabeMum · 03/11/2008 12:15

Aww villagemum i really feel for you. It's aweful waiting to ovulate and I can't imagine what it's like for you after having a MC. Hopefully you will OV in the next few days and it will be best foot forward! My normal cycle is around 34 days and I found out since my fertility monitor that I OV on CD20/21 so that's fairly late in the cycle.

Chin up honey xx

VillageMum · 03/11/2008 12:31

Thanks again Elliegant, Wanabe... my cycle used to be 30 days with ov on cd17, also fairly late in the cycle, but I guess it's become even later now... groan. Will try not to whinge too much! Really tender abdomen with twinges so hope something may happen soon. Thanks again, ladies, you're a lovely bunch. x

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 12:49

Hi C1ndy

Yes, in the midst of it all now - this is definitely my favourite part of the cycle . Having to work out 101 ways of seducing DH - not that he complains - he thinks his Christmasses have come all at once! I guess it makes up for me acting like a crazy, knicker-checking obsessive at the end of the cycle.

C1NDY · 03/11/2008 12:55

Howdy, everyone... I can see five of us are going to try the Deanne Plan (DP)... our hubby's won't know whats hit them this month. We are women with a PLAN!!

I am happy coz i get to drink a glass of wine or two or three or four (okay you get the message) this evening.

I am so prepared this month that the egg will be bombared... it can't escape the conception!

VillageMum What's wrong sweety... I have been skimming posts as I have the big boss back today. When you had a MC did you have a D&C? as that can mess your cycles up and apparently you are more prone to dropping quite a few eggs as your body adjusts itself!

C1NDY · 03/11/2008 13:01

Pezzina I know what you mean! My DH hates the routine though but enjoys that his getting more dancing!! Well enjoy your time and fingers and toes crossed for you. What methods are you using, apart from the DP... are you OPK and CUM checking?

I am doing everything next time around. OPK, CUM, temperature checking and DP...

Now, Ladies I have read somewhere that the best method for conception is ... now sorry for this as its really to the point... well the best method is doggy style as it gets the little buggers to the correct area faster... rather than the missionery position. Has anyone heard of this??? as I always makesure that I am lying down so that I can stick my legs in the air... sorry if I am getting all personal.

WanabeMum · 03/11/2008 13:07

Hey C1ndy yes i had heard that too! Nothing is tmi on this thread honey!!
Not sure I could cope with that position every time though, may just have to ... ehem ..... swap positions at the end? lol
Will be a nightmare though, how are you going to manouver into a position to put your legs in the air from doggy? oh the mental images lol hhhhhhmmmmmmmmm

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 13:11

I'm doing OPK, CM, temperature and following DP. I'm using Fertility Friend to enter the temps each day and you can also note your CM and any OPK results - its very handy.

Hadn't heard that doing it doggy style is better for conception but that would make sense I guess - as your DP/DH can go deeper giving the little swimmers less distance to travel bless 'em.

VillageMum · 03/11/2008 13:12

Cindy thanks for asking... you've actually brought a tear to my eye... yes, I had a D&E after my mc but ovulated about 3 weeks afterwards. Just assumed all was back to normal again once AF came after that. Will try to be patient and see if I ov in the next few days... I guess it's all messed up, as you say!
Good luck this month!

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 13:15

(((big hugs))) villagemum

VillageMum · 03/11/2008 13:24

Thanks Pezzina, gosh, now I'm really teary! x

smileycat · 03/11/2008 13:26

Just re-read the DP plan again as I will try it next month if this month doesn't work for us, gosh if you have scant CM thats a bloody short time window for the little swimmers to meet the egg in time, I guess if that is the case 'doggy style' might be the best way to go about it get them in with as much help as possible

Heebychick · 03/11/2008 13:35

c1ndy i am so glad you posted that, i always thought the same (but not brave enough to post it!) and yes i too 'cycle' my legs in the air afterwards but i wondered if doggy style helped so tried that one twice during our BD fest.

DH has just called to discuss types and timings of 'the' test! am so tempted to do it tonight but don't want to A)waste a test and B) get a false neg and be disheartened. I almost like the 'what if' stage as at least you still don't know!

If not count me in on the deana plan, i aam so happy to be part of this lovely supportive thread!

xx

Heebychick · 03/11/2008 13:36

(((((extra hugs to village who sounds like she needs them this month))))

VillageMum · 03/11/2008 14:46

Thanks Heeby and all you other lovely ladies... checking CM like mad and hoping that there being so much of it (sorry TMI!)is a good sign at least... argh! x

C1NDY · 03/11/2008 15:14

Pezzine Thank heavens others have heard o that too. Maneovering will be a problem, but oh well its all for the love of getting a beautiful bundle :0)

VillageMum sorry to have brought salt water in your eyes... goush I just type and type without thinking!! (((BIG HUGS)))) Now for the positive, my friend MC and became pg two months afterwards they say having a D&E clears your whole system.. kind of like when you have just given birth and that you are more likely to conceive... so come on, this month is yours!!! Your body will sort itself out.

Heebychick LOL, I'm only brave cause no one really knows who I am, where I am located. I love this site as I can ask all the questions I want... dirty or not!! Will be thinking of you tonight and really hope that I get some good news tomorrow.

Take care, all of you and speak to you tomorrow morning. I am off home now to pick my little girl up.

Heebychick · 03/11/2008 15:24

Thanks guys, lots of love and baby dust, Have a super evening and i promise to update with any news asap xx

spats · 03/11/2008 16:43

hi, i have looked at your thread before as i tried drinking grapefuit this month. i am cd23 today. i usally am 28 day cycle but didn't get pos on opk until cd19 so not sure when af will arrive, so am impatiently patiently waiting for the next 7 +? days. We did bd alot this month but have panic about short lp at the mo which anyone reading other threads may have seen. I think people think i am an obsessed nutter about it. That me !! ps can i join your friendly thread? pps i too cycle in the air did for ds 2. Have to wait for dh to go to shower otherwise he would think i had totally lost the plot (not far from the truth!!) xx

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 17:10

Hi spats and welcome to our thread. It does make me giggle to think of us ladies scattered across the UK with our legs up in the air tee-hee!

I forgot to mention earlier today for anyone using OPK sticks - the First Response ones are on special offer at the moment in Boots - buy one get one free - so get 10 sticks for the price of 5 AND each pack of 5 has one free pregnancy test too - so you get 10 OPK sticks and 2 pregnancy tests for £19.99.

spats · 03/11/2008 17:17

was going to try internet ones this month as they are so expensive but may stock up from boots. was going to wait for af before needlessly shelling out on more but if there is an offer on i am there (credit crunch and all that!!) xx

spats · 03/11/2008 17:19

i meant the ones from boots are expensive not internet ones obviously!! i am trying to type whilst having ds2 in the shower who i am also just toilet training ,so it is mad in this house - and i want another one???? xx

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 17:19

Thats what I thought. Not sure how long the offer has been running but it was a pleasant surprise when I went to get some on Saturday.

Its my first month of using them and was shocked at how much they would normally be.
