Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

wasabi sweetie, you can't be sure yet... though better to believe th worst and then be surprised than other way round.

Will def do Sun - Day 14. Thing is, have dh obn board this month but if doesn;t happen for us can;t imagine him being so pleased he'll have to be quote so active again next month.

My temp is being a bit funny. Wed am was 36.50 which I put down to tiredness because hardly slept as was watching election results. Until that point it had been anything between 36.13 and 36.40 since AF began. Back down to 36.30 Thurs am then back up to 36.50 today. Only started temping this month properly so don't know what my cover line is (is that correct word?) Oh well, if have ovulated early at least would have some sperm in me from the Deanna plan.

Hi all,

smiley, pinkie, wasabi sorry to hear that the witch has got you

Yellow think all dh must be the same, mine likes the idea of all the bding and is really keen at the moment but I know it will be a different matter if he has a really stressful day and comes home knackered.

We started deanna plan yesterday so feeling quite excited and positive at the moment.

C1NDY · 07/11/2008 21:10

VillageMum Been reading your posts and I have had a little pain when I am ovulating.. .never had it before may be it was the MC or something... but it was painful. I just put it down to me just being more in tune with my body. Let me know if you find out any further of what it might be.

smiley, pinkie, wasabi, sorry to hear AF has arrived. It won't be long until you will be in the full flow of bding again and getting the bfp.

Heeby how are you?

Sans04 · 08/11/2008 03:02

Ah sorry forget to ask you about temmping, when should I start, and how can that work I mean what should the tem when I ovulate and so on, thank you

smileycat · 08/11/2008 09:16

welcome Sans you are right it is a really friendly thread & you are very welcome to join are merry possie
CM is the mucus your body produces throughout the month. starts our sticky, then goes creamy, then watery & then when you get to your most fertile stage it goes eggwhite (like a runny egg) which is EWCM. The sperm can't like in the thick sticky stuff, the creamy stuff is getting better for them but the watery & EW will help them survive longer to wait for the egg to be released. Google fertility friend & read through their site it helps a lot. The DP plan is the Deanne Plan egg meets sperm. if you look back through a couple of pages on this thread you can find a link to it or maybe one of the girls could add it in again for you (sorry don't know how to do that) it tell you the best time to BD so that you can make sure his swimmers are their waiting at the right time.
hope this helps a little any more questions just fire away, there is always some one here to help

smileycat · 08/11/2008 09:30

Sans again FF Fertility Friend will do it all for you, when you first join you get the VIP membership free for a month after that you choose to pay or just do the basic one for free, I've just stuck to the basic package. I started temping last month for the first time & recorded it all with FF as well as on a printed sheet by my bed. You need to take you temp at the same time every morning after at least 3 hrs of sleep, start temping about 3 days into your AF, your temp will be up & down during AF, when you see a definate temp rise you have OV'd, so if you need to know before this you will need to do OV'd stick or something else as the temping method will only tell you when you are no longer fertile, but I loved it last month & will do it again this month. Your temp will then rise day by day or stay around the same temp until your AF is due then a couple of days before AF it will start to fall this usually means AF is on her way, some girls get a big fall in temp & that means AF is comming that day or early the next, mine fell slowly, but still its a great way of knowing if AF is comming rather than just sitting & waiting for her & if your temp stays high it could mean that you are pg. I got AF pains 3 days before she finally arrived but my temp was still high during the first 2 days so I knew I didn't need to have a tampon in because I knew from my temp that it wasn't comming that day. I also loved the fact that FF showed me that I had actually OV'd & on what day, I now have last months chart to go by for this month so I have a good idea when I should OV this time around...good luck with it

Just reread last post and saw all the typos - I am literate, I promise!

whitebeachesandcoconutoil · 08/11/2008 17:39

hey all sorry to see that af has come to some of you.
hopefully we can all help each other through our crappy times and laugh with each other through the good.
my dh asked me if i thought we had 'caught' this month and i am pretty much 100% that we have'nt my own fault though we were supposed to dp and did not stick to it.
on a brighter note i have cut out alcohol and have lost weight so much so that instead of being a 12-14 i bought some stuff today in size 8 all from a placewhere i know i am generally a 14.
my dh said i bet i was pleased but you know what i would rather i had been able to buy some maternity stuff. at myself really

spats · 09/11/2008 09:22

not been able to log in for a few days and need to catch up with all the goss. Sorry for those who have got af . I am officially a knicker checker now -have done the grapefruit drinking! Just need AF to stay away today and possibly tom and then i can stop stressing about a short lp.One less thing to worry about. Everytime i feel a drip (tmi i know!) i am straight in the toilet, going to be a nightmare at work. Not sure when AF due now due to late ovulation , i guess i wait 14 days after ovulation which would be next fri/sat. But bet AF got me by then. Anyone else waiting for this week, I have had butterflies in my tummy all weekend (oh and have been rather grumpy!!) x

VillageMum · 09/11/2008 11:49

spats, you will be OK - if you ovulated late your AF will come later too, I'd guess, as the lp is pretty fixed - if you've never had a short lp before there's no reason why you should develop one now, so don't worry! (But I totally know how stressful it can be when something's suddenly a bit different one month... drives me crazy.)

Cindy, will definitely let you know if I get those ov pains again. I'm thinking they must have been due to my mc and really hope they're not as extreme next cycle!

Well, just over a week to go now till AF and then we can start ttc. Can't quite believe the moment is nearly here!

Sans04 · 09/11/2008 11:51

HI to all

Thank you very much Smileycat I really apretiate that, that was really helpfull for me. For this cycle I already test Ov and I had a positive (Two lines) only in cd9 so I don't know rally if that was right because I think it was early. Any way now I wanted to ask you if I start temmping now it will help me with that if I concived or no? again thank you for helping me here now I feel very comfortable, and seems to be more positive, and thank everyone elss on this thread. fingers crossed for all of us
by the way I loged in to that Fertility Friend web that was so helpfull, thank you now I understand what's going on.

yellowflowers · 09/11/2008 13:41

So we didn't manage day 14 on Deanna plan but did the deed this morning so day 15. But I usually have 30 day cycle ovulating around day 16 so that's okay. Am doing ebay cheapie opk sticks but showing nothing so far - do a few each day and not even showing a faint line early morning so guess I'll disregard them.

So my question - and be gentle as first month temping - is my temp dropped today quite a lot - do that mean I am about to ovulate. Dropped about 8am, did the bd deed about 10am. Do we have to do it again (when? tonight or tomorrow morning?) to make sure of getting it? Is temp drop good sign of impending ovulation. And if it's gone up a lot tomorrow morning does that make it too late?

Hi all,

Sorry for the radio silence, have had a busy weekend and have a friend over to stay so haven't been online.

Sorry about the AF's ladies, lets hope she is getting it all out of the way now ready for lots of Crimbo babies!!

sans welcome, this thread is wonderful, i have had loads of support and i really hope you find the answers you need.

whitebeaches great news about your weight loss, perfect for starting a pg with! well done.

smiley sounds like your dh is really into the ttc plans which is great, and enjoy your wine and hot baths .... it won't be long for you now i'm sure!

As for me - not that i'm sure you really want to know that much but am ok, feeling a little bit sicky when i'm hungry and getting tired by about 9pm but apart from that i'm ok. I took another test (just to be sure!) and was so pleased to see the line come up immedietely.

Lots of baby dust to you all, good luck xxx

VillageMum · 09/11/2008 16:07

Yellow, if you have a 30 day cycle and are on cd15 you'll probably ov in the next two days or so, I'd guess. There can be a drop in temp before ovulation. Once your temps go up and stay up (the staying up bit is important - you'll see a clear shift to higher temps over a number of days) you'll know that ov happened the day before the rise. BDing any time from now would be ideal! Good luck, fingers crossed!

smileycat · 09/11/2008 16:24

Hi yellow I've just looked at last months temping chart & my temp went up & down twice then on the 3rd time it slowly went up & stayed up for 11 days then fell slowly until AF arrived, once it stays up for a couple of days FF marks it on your chart that you have OV'd & gives you your coverline, your coverline is what it thinks you should be when your AF arrives, some girls get a very big temp rise after OV, mine was steady.
Sans FF says that if your temp stays up for more than 18 days you are pg, but you will probably have already done a test by then, what it will tell you is if your AF is on her way ie temp falling, but again there are still the odd exceptions if you look at other charts when their temps fell below their coverlines then when right back up the next day & they were pg.
I now have last months chart to refer to for this comming month, every woman is different I think you will need a couple of months charts then you will be able to predict your most fertile days & when AF should be due according to your temps from the old charts.
I'm going to use OV sticks as well as temping & the DP plan this month, covering every angle to try & catch that little egg before it dies on me. My DH wants to start again already & I'm only CD3

yellowflowers · 09/11/2008 20:45

Thanks village and smiley and hello heeby. Dh has agreed a morning shag tomorrow would be an excellent idea in that it will a) shut me up and b) excuse him from having to do it on Monday night when he gets home from his evening class knackered. Phew!

Thank you everyone for all that support.
smiley , Cindy and Heebychick thank you for welcoming I hope all the best for you and everyone elss in this thread.

pinkie08 · 10/11/2008 10:43

Hi everyone,

Sorry not been on over weekend but was away with DH and DD for my birthday, am officially starting this months DP in a couple of days.

There are afew of us at the same dates so am sure we will be keeping each other calm.

How are you feeling heeby

Pezzina · 10/11/2008 11:09

Morning all,

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Managed to get in some BDing over the weekend ? was expecting to have OV?d today but my temperature had actually gone down this morning ? so not sure exactly what is going on there. Will have to jump on my DH this evening again I suppose!

Spats ? my fingers are crossed for you. Don?t stress about a short LP ? as VillageMum says ? your LP usually stays the same length ? its only the first part of the cycle that can change. I think you?re right to wait till next Friday/Sat to test. Just a few more days ? but I know it will feel like a life time!

Sans04 ? welcome to this lovely thread. Lots of great support and information is received from everyone ? its so wonderful knowing you?re not alone in TTC

How?s everyone else doing today? Anyone planning on testing this week?

I?m going to start having reflexology ? my first appointment is tonight. I?ve heard it can work wonders on regulating your cycles and as mine are far from being regular I thought I?d give it a go. Anyone else tried reflexology?

pinkie08 · 10/11/2008 11:36

Hi Pezzina

I absolutely love reflexology. You can feel
all sorts of things going on.

I had it when pg with dd and i had a really easy time and labour

XX

Pezzina · 10/11/2008 11:42

Thanks for the info Pinkie - I've always wanted to give reflexology a try and now seems like a great time to do it. I'm looking forward to it.
