Short-ish LP with lots of spotting, but progesterone levels "normal"

I have an LP of about 10 days, which I know 'might' be an issue. I was pregnant once before, but miscarried at 11 weeks in March. Since the miscarriage, I have had lots of spotting during my LP. My GP did a blood test and progesterone levels came back 'normal' at 46. Just wondering if anyone else has the same issues and what can be done about it?

No they told her to go away for 3 months and if she still wasnt pregnant they would prescribe her clomi. As it happened she did get pregnant on a cycle with a 21 day progesterone of 35 so she obviously did ov. I think assisted cycle progesterone levels are usually much higher than 30.

I have had it done 30 times and the levels were 2, 30 and 35, the drs dont seem worried by it.

Hi guys

Mind if I drop in? Like most of you I had spotting too pre-m/c and a short luteal phase (10 days). I got referred to the hospital (had been ttc for a year and was 35 at that point). I mentioned the spotting/luteal phase to the person I saw (registrar? Not sure that it was the consultant) but they didn't seem that bothered. I had the blood tests and was told to book in for the hsg, at which point I got my bfp, which sadly ended in mmc at 9 weeks (development had stopped after 7 weeks). I've always suspected low progesterone.

The dr has referred me back to the hospital 5 months post m/c so I'm hoping to find out the results of the blood test. The person I saw had said that after the hsg, the next step would be clomid (and they know I'm definitely ovulating).

Since the m/c I haven't had spotting until this month (though I've been having acupuncture and out of the blue the acupuncturist said to me that my progesterone levels were normal - how she knows that I've no idea)...

LOL LBOT! Hopefully if I get my appointment though soon I might be able to give some? Alternatively, give me a list of all your different scenarios and I'll see how many I can get through in the time available!

Hi All

Bumping this thread to see if anyone had any new feedback/info. Still no BFP for me and I'm going to make an appointment to see my GP again this month.

thanks for your post, Anniemac. I tried AC for two cycles. I definitely did get an extra day out of my LP as well. But still had spotting (albeit light) starting 8 or 9dpo. I'm giving soy a try this month, along with wearing a sleep mask (weird, I know!). I'll let you know how I do.

Apparently, you can take Soy isoflavones as you would clomid - I did CD3-7 - to stimulate a stronger ovulation, which in turn is meant to help your LP. It's pretty controversial, but I thought I'd give it a try.

I took AC throughout my entire cycle.

Is Lastboxoftampons still on MN? Did this ever get sorted and was it progesterone?

I'm having same issue. Wondering what the outcome was for all.
