Hi! Thought I’d start a thread for those of us in the unfortunate situation of struggling with TTC and perhaps starting investigations.

I’ve been TTC DC3 for 11 months now. I have PCOS, so my typical cycle is 39 days with the odd 80 day one thrown in. Just started investigations at the GP who have sent off a fertility referral. Supposed to be getting my Day21 blood done this month but seem to be having a long cycle/ an anovulatory cycle as currently day 35 and no sign of a peak on my LH tests.

Anyone else also struggling TTC and want to support each other?

Well... BFN at 9dpo :( Not even a hint of a line.

I appreciate it's early but it's all just so familiar. I get my hopes up every month, it is so silly !

Wishing you ladied better luck than me. Hopefully we can get some BFP pics on this thread soon 🙏

Sorry about the BFN. It is early as you say but I’m the same and always give up on a cycle after an early negative. It’s so hard to stay feeling positive. Fingers crossed for a later implantation for you!

Sorry to hear that! As you say there is still time though!…
it’s so difficult though isn’t it - I also can’t help getting my hopes up. I’ve actually stopped testing before my period comes for the last 2 months or so, as I felt I’m paying money to be disappointed!

Chrimbobo · 03/11/2026 13:16

@GreenApple121I've never had the will power to not test and as I buy the big bag of 50 cheapies from amazon, I feel like it's not so bad. I'd love to be able to not test but I lack the patience... maybe next month !!

Firsttimerugbymum · 03/11/2026 13:22

Have to say I get v disappointed at 9dpo and ruml myself out (had a positive with my daughter at that point).

Feeling very negative about this cycle - hubby has started taking some antibiotics for a potential infection which is impairing his semen analysis. Apparently the antibiotics also make his result worse, and then it's a 2-3 month wait to see if they make any difference! Not sure why everything is such a long wait

Can see why you would be anxious about the 13. I think I’ve read 30+ too, to confirm ovulation. Have they booked you in for doctors appointment to discuss the results?

It was just under a month to get the letter from the fertility clinic 😂 I guess that means they are snowed under and it’s a long wait!

I haven’t heard from the doctors yet but have submitted another form to ask for a call to explain the results and if I can do anything. I have noticed more results have been added though today, they really did check a lot!

How are you getting on in the TWW?

That sounds tricky! So the antibiotics make the sperm count worse before it gets better? That must be so frustrating! It takes about 3 months I think for the old sperm to clear and the new sperm to be positively impacted by supplements and things so guess it must be the same for this?

Good that they checked so much! And a phone call sounds like a good idea, hopefully the GP will be able to explain it all.
I’m 6 dpo so nothing exciting happening really. Going to try not to test until Monday at the earliest 😬

Yeo basically. Everything seems like such a long wait.

He's meant to have a repeat test next week but debating rescheduling, but equally don't want to wait another 3 months

I’ve managed to book a call for mid-Nov but will try and bring it forward with a cancellation if I can.

I’m 11 DPO and started having some dark brown spotting when wiping today, no cramps but had a persistent headache all day. So I think I’m out but may test later just for closure now.

Mid-November is a bit rubbish! Hope they can bring it forward for you. Why does everything take so long when TTC?

Sorry to hear about the spotting. Take care of yourself. Sending you baby dust for your next cycle ❤️

Will they retest after the antibiotics have cleared? So in 3 months? Or if you have it next week is it a pain to get another test? As if they will retest in 3 months regardless, might as well go next week and get another data point? But otherwise probably not?

Will you on the everything taking so long. So done with the endless waiting. And now I have a UTI so on antibiotics! That’s not going to be helping implantation. Think I’ve given up on this cycle already!

Have to pay for every semen analysis as went private so can do but would just be for an extra cost!

We're going for it as would be interesting to see what difference if any lifestyle and supplements have done.

Oh no I hate UTIs! Hopefully it goes soon

How is everyone else getting on? I'm 6dpo and really wanting to test but know it is pointless. Trying to wait until at least Tuesday

Hello everyone. Hoping to join!

I've been TTC#1 since October 2025 so just over a year. One chemical pregnancy in that time that ended in January. Now on cycle 14. Given up on tracking now, didn't bother last month as we have enough sex and I seem to ovulate regularly. Just decided to remove an extra layer of stress.

Has anyone tried vaginal microbiome testing? I've ordered a test kit from daye but not sure if it's just snake oil, feel like I'm getting a bit desperate out here. All of out initial testing was normal except from 2% morphology, but motility was 80% and sperm count 165mil so hoping that 2% doesn't have much negative affect. We have the next appt with ther fertility specialist in a few weeks so hoping to get a hycosy scheduled ASAP as I've got it in my head that it will be the thing that makes it work for us.

We're both super healthy, take prenatals, omega 3, coq 10 and vit c, no idea why it's taking so long but for some people I guess it just takes longer.

That makes sense, more data points is always worth it!
We are very close, I’m 8 dpo. Going to wait until at least Monday. Given how rubbish this UTI is making me feel I might just wait for AF. If it does happen this month I really won’t know what to say as pretty much everything has gone wrong!

Hello! Welcome over from the monthly thread 😊. Sorry TTC has been such a rubbish time for you too.

I have never tried vaginal microbiome testing! Or heard of it! Will have to have a google! Really hope you get your hycosy soon. When I saw Maomee’s BFP following the hycosy - it did seem like the magic cure! It was the same for someone I was on a thread with back in February. Had the Hycosy the day before ovulation, dtd once on the day of ovulation and it worked! It really does seem to help some people.
Whereabouts in your cycle are you?

I've got a test from daye at home but haven't used it yet as the timing is fairly restrictive - has to be at least done 5 days after your period ends, can't have had sex in 24 hours and also done Monday - Wednesday due to shipping

Like you no idea if a scam but willing to try anything. I've started taking a probiotic anyway to see if it helps

Never heard of this either but worth a try!

I've been on WeGovy now for 2 weeks and lost half a stone. My period arrived as well and it was a 37 day cycle, the shortest in 2 years!! Hoping for a Christmas miracle ✨️

Amazing progress - well done!

Do you have a target that you want to lose? I was tempted to look into it, but unsure and theyre so expensive
