And when can I test? Am due on this Friday...

OP posts:
monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2008 20:56

Actually, I may as well join in - am CD19, think I could possibly have ov'd CD9, and have my fingers crossed that I've conceived... Can't wait to hear the result oopsy - good luck!

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:00

Monkey, what does CD mean?

StripySails · 25/06/2008 21:02

please hurry up and decide whether you're keeping your date with Clear Blue Dave. I have a small baby and still having early nights but I'm desperate to knowvaguely interested in the outcome

monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2008 21:05

Think it's Cycle Day, so the first day of your cycle would be CD1... Think that's it anyway

crunch · 25/06/2008 21:10

Me too. Have been TTC for-EVER! CD 25 today and the longest cycle since I have been charting has been 28d and 7hrs (yes I really am counting the hours too )so not due until 6am on Sunday morning.

The shitty thing is that so many pg symptoms are like those I get when due AF so I really can't tell until she arrives or until I test and because I was a serial tester I have forbidden myself to buy them until I am 4 days late. I havn't wasted any money in a while

So Ooops I'm living out my mad obsession with testing through you

ladytophamhatt · 25/06/2008 21:10

has dave been yet or not?

monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2008 21:13

Come on, put us out of our misery!!! Test! Test! Test!!!

Crunch it's so frustrating when you talk yourself into being pg and then AF arrives isn't it. Good luck this month, hope it's a lucky one for you!

crunch · 25/06/2008 21:19

Absolutely Monkey. I've given up the symptom checking but I always have hope. It's horrible when it's taken away.

Good luck to you too. Fingers crossed, only fingers

So Ooops, whatcha gonna do? Forget all the cheering (shame on me bold brat that I am) and tell us what you want to do. If it's waiting until Friday, cool. We'll join up again here then (if you want us to)

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:23

lol, sos, been on sofa watching TV

um, I need a wee, actually, shall I wee on Dave then?

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:24

Crunch - is this your first baby you are trying for?

StripySails · 25/06/2008 21:24

Yes! Yes!

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:25

but could an out of date one give a FALSE POS?

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:25

SS, you are funny!

monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2008 21:27

I reckon it's more likely to give a false negative, but honestly I wouldn't have a clue. Try it anyway and see what happens

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:37

fuck

faint pos

StripySails · 25/06/2008 21:38

Fuck

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:40

shit shit shit
fuckkity fuck

is a false positive likely?

faint positive

but am only on day 23 - arrrrrgggghhhh

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:42

dh thinks it's not certain cos the line down (it's a Clear Blue Dave cross test) is faint

I just Know it is though

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:43

where are you all? help!!

monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2008 21:45

Don't panic!! Could be an evaporation line?? Think your best bet is to stay calm, and get another test tomorrow.

StripySails · 25/06/2008 21:45

I believe they reckon generally that false positives are not possible. God, well, did you expect that? Off to the chemist first thing for confirmatory tests? Or even a 24 hour supermarket?

Have you got that adrenaline-fuelled churning stomach? Well, congratulations. What did dh say?

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:48

"evaporation line"?? what is that?

sheeeeeeiiiit. dh is shocked but alm as he isn't sure it's positive

it is a DEFINITE cross though, not single line

nappyaddict · 25/06/2008 21:53

asda's own brand preg tests are the most senstive you can get and i think you can get a postive 6 dpo.

monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2008 21:53

Ooohhh it's sounding like it's a +ve... Not completely sure how evaporation lines work, but have a look at this site, it might also be able to tell you how accurate an out of date HPT can be.

I'm afraid I'm off to bed now, but I hope you're okay. I shall try to check back to see how you're doing tomorrow when I'm at work. Hope you manage to get some sleep! I know I didn't whenever I've had +ve tests.....

Night night x

oopsyoopssydaisy · 25/06/2008 21:54

nappyaddict - what is 6dpo?

Monkey - thanks!
