Did your RPOC resolve on its own?

I've got an 18mm RPOC following a D&C for miscarriage at 7 weeks. I had the procedure 7 weeks ago and a scan a couple of weeks ago showed the RPOC. I've been doing pregnancy tests every now and then and they still have a super faint line, like a real squinter.

I've had one bleed which coincided with when my period would have been and I'm waiting for one more period to hope that expels it then I'll have another scan after that and I guess decide what to do then.

Has anyone else reading this experienced similar and did your RPOC come away by itself?

No personal experience but this is in my line of work
If .. not causing you any bother , or showing you any sign of infection .. I’d leave alone , it should pass
If causing you anxiety or any hint at all of infection then ask for some Miso or an ERPC
So sorry for your loss 💐

Thanks @66babe it's not really causing any symptoms except on off bleeding.

Thats frustrating I know , I’d probably ask for the Miso and have it over with if it’s annoying you , the longer it remains inside , the more chance of infection so keep an eye for any smelly vaginal discharge, fever temp
Very bad luck for you but fingers crossed you get sorted and then can move on 💐

This is the fourth time I've had retained products or retained placenta. I've never waited so long though as the other time it was retained products the bleeding was much heavier and obvs placenta can't stay inside at all so was removed immediately.

Thats really unfortunate
We used to call that a “ lazy womb “ as it stopped contracting too early and left product behind
Very annoying for you , especially after a D&C !

I'm so sorry for your loss OP Flowers
I had medical management for TFMR, have since had several MC's and also now happen to work in healthcare, but admittedly not in gynae.

I was 12weeks and was given very little aftercare advice. I was working abroad with DH at the time with no friends or MN to ask what was normal. I wasn't told to do any follow up preg tests! I bled on and off for 3mths, yes, 12 weeks! Sounds bonkers to say that, but I didn't realise it wasn't the norm, I had no fevers, pain etc to indicate anything was wrong.

The bleeding finally stopped, and 3 days later what I assume was a period started. The first 2 days were the heaviest I've ever had and out popped a 1cm x 1cm POC. A scan showed everything was clear. I did alot of reading which said that the uterus will naturally try to expel any products, but it could take several cycles to fully do so. As the above person said, if you have no pain, fever, discharge etc then I'd wait to see and hope it resolves itself. x
