TTC on Clomid anyone?

BognorRegenia · 10/06/2026 12:22

We have started Clomid this month due to secondary infertility. I've had all the side effects (hot flushes, anxiety, cramps, bloating, fatigue) and am happy to finally be on 1dpo!

I'm putting a lot of hope into this cycle so I'm nervous I'm going to be very left down if/when AF arrives in a couple of weeks. :/

Anyone else in a similar boat?

ps I do see a shadow for sure!

BognorRegenia · 17/07/2026 10:09

Woo hoo, amazing news @Roro27 !!!

Negative today at 12/13dpo :(. So onto the next cycle.

Roro27 · 18/07/2026 12:45

Thanks @BognorRegenia- faintest line today, less than yesterday and some spotting with cramps so thinking it may be a chemical. Why is fertility so bloody hard.

Have you retest again @BognorRegenia?
So sorry to hear @MultilingualMummyfingers crossed for the next round

BognorRegenia · 18/07/2026 12:52

Ugh, my line (shadow) seems fainter too. I'm trying not to assume the worst, but it may well be a chemical :( Solidarity Flowers

so sorry to hear possible chemical! ugh this is so tough

BognorRegenia · 19/07/2026 08:01

I am really gutted to say my test this morning was negative. It seems so unfair as I had all the symptoms yesterday, but maybe that was in my mind. But I think it must have been a chemical, as I had 3 vv faint tests and then they started to turn negative yesterday and definitely negative today.

On to month 3. I'm really anxious though as I only have 2 months of Clomid left and DH and I wouldn't pursue anything further (we are very lucky to have 2 kids already).. so I feel like this really is last chance saloon.

I Hope others are having better luck x

So sorry to hear this @BognorRegeniaIt really is so unfair. I’m in the same boat- not negative just yet but extremely faint positives, no darker and slight spotting this morning. Really hoping I don’t have to delay for a month to begin letrozole again. Chemicals are the most disheartening thing 😞

I also have a 6 (soon to be 7) year old little boy so very grateful for him.
Have everything crossed for all of our next cycles x

BognorRegenia · 19/07/2026 09:04

@Roro27Aw, my little boy is 6 too. It is such a lovely age and I genuinely feel so blessed already.

This is my first chemical and it is such heartbreak. The amount of edited and darkened photos of pregnancy tests on my phone should be illegal. I've heard your more fertile after a chemical, so here's to us both getting that obvious BFP next month x

Oh that's weird, I thought I had posted another message.

I had ordered FRERs to come after my faint line 2 days ago and they arrived. So even though my cheapy test was negative this morning, I took a test and there is a shadow. At 12dpo and >48 hours after the first shadow, I know this ain't good news. Still, hopefully it confirms a chemical, so I'm seeing it as a sign that we got bloomin' close and next month will be the one! At least Clomid did something

TTC on Clomid anyone?

I can definitely see the line, we are in exactly the same boat. I’ve just done a digital and still showing as 1-2 weeks pregnant but the tests with lines aren’t getting any darker, similar to your line.

I just looked back to my last chemical and I was still showing positive 5 days after first positive but much darker :/

Not sure how Clomid works but guessing it’s similar to letrozole and you take for 5 days from day 1 of period? Are you showing any signs of period coming? X

BognorRegenia · 19/07/2026 15:30

Oh man, so many days of faint lines is not fun. I don't dare do a digital as DH would get excited if it was positive and I know the outcome here isn't good.

With my Clomid (I think it differs for some people), I take it from day 1 of a full bleed and for 5 days.

I've had none of my typical AF signs, but do have some mild pregnancy signs (scratchy throat, slight nausea, some pulling cramps). How about you? Limbo land sucks :(

Back to taking letrozole again! Today is my last day and I’ve been taking it at night. It’s helped so much with symptoms.

BognorRegenia · 24/07/2026 19:00

@MultilingualMummyI've also been taking at night! This is night 2, month 3. I had all the symptoms month 1 and none month 2, but month 2 was a chemical pregnancy so I guess it still worked nonetheless.

I'm also taking Ovum supplements that I got from Ocado, and they're 3 big capsules, so I feel like I'm rattling 😅

Starting letrozole day 1 tonight (cycle 3 also). Praying for us this month! Was told I should take a break due to HCG not back to 0 yet, but way too impatient for that x

BognorRegenia · 24/07/2026 22:15

Oh that's interesting @Roro27 I wonder why that is. Hopefully it doesn't affect anything

I’m thinking of switching supplements. Do you recommend ovum?

BognorRegenia · 26/07/2026 16:10

@MultilingualMummy I have no complaints. They seem to have a lot of the important ingredients and I much prefer them to what I had before- a powder you added to water that tasted sickly sweet.

OP posts:
BognorRegenia · 28/07/2026 19:46

How are we all doing?

I've just finished taking my last tablet yesterday, so time to get the ovulation stips out soon.

I don't know if I feel positive this cycle or not... what I do know is that I really dislike the whole TTC game, especially the waiting, and I hope this is the last month for us all!

OP posts:
Roro27 · 28/07/2026 20:39

Hey!
I am not feeling the most positive this month, but think that is just due to last months turn out…

I have just taken my last dose of letrozole. What CD do you tend to ovulate? And are you having a follicle scan/trigger shot? Or just doing strips at home?

Really hope this is our months x

BognorRegenia · 28/07/2026 21:26

I usually ovulate about CD14 and there's no doctor for me- just cheapy LH strips at home! How about you?

I'm more impatient this month than ever. :/

OP posts:
Roro27 · 28/07/2026 22:11

I’ve gone private so have the scan and trigger shot. Working out pretty expensive as I also had a hyfosy last month!

MultilingualMummy · 29/07/2026 10:32

I’m on cycle day 11 and both of my ovaries feel heavy, so bizarre but I feel I can feel my follicles growing and it feels like both sides this month. Last month I felt nothing. I’m testing for ovulation using cheapies and my Mira device and so far tests are all negative but I feel like ovulation will be soon. My 2 previous cycles I ovulated on cycle day 12 but I’m not sure if it will be later this month.

BognorRegenia · 29/07/2026 20:25

@Roro27Oooh, I fell pregnant the month after my Hycyosy with DC2 . My tubes were clear but apparently it can be good to get any sticky debris (not the technical term!) out.

@MultilingualMummyI have had this with both cycles to the point where I was lying down in pain and visibly soooo bloated. It hasn't started yet this time but I'm only CD8.

OP posts:
BognorRegenia · Today 19:34

Apparently I'm ovulating early this cycle. Despite a negative (practically white) LH strip last night, I got a positive this morning. At least that means I have less waiting around, but I'm hoping ovulating day 12 rather than my typical 14/15 isn't a bad thing :/
