Hi everyone.

I have posted previously...

I had the mirena coil removed on 13th April, ovulated on 18th May (tracked using PreMom). We BDed on 14th, 17th and 18th May.

I have taken an Easy@Home pregnancy test this morning, and I got a negative.

I feel quite disheartened, as I was confident we did it around the time of ovulation. I'm 30, regular monthly cycles before mirena.

I have had strange cramps all week and my boobs are super sore!

This is mu first month trying, so maybe I just didnt know what to expect and felt too confident?

Any advice on how to manage emotions at this time?

Thank you. 😀

9DPO is incredibly early, plenty of people don’t implant until days 9 or 10dpo, and HCG isn’t produced until implantation. I got my first squinter the afternoon of 11dpo and it was clearer but still faint 12dpo. I am pretty sure I didn’t implant until the evening of 9dpo/morning 10dpo because I felt it.

You’ve a few more days until you’re out!

You arent out till your period shows so try not to feel too disheartened as 8 dpo is quite hit and miss for a positive as most dont implant til 8dpo onwards. So just wait a few more days and try again. Maybe order a decent test as these strip ones arent the best xx

Even if you time everything perfectly there’s only about a 25% chance of pregnancy each month. So even if you don’t get pregnant this month it doesn’t mean you did anything wrong or timed it wrong etc. But as others have said 9dpo is still very early. The earliest I ever got a positive was 10/11dpo. I know it’s hard but try not to get too caught up in it every month just in case it takes a few months or more.

This. You may get lucky and fall within the first few months but it can take up to a year. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong. I’ve been trying for 18 months so I’m now starting to get tested for issues as that’s a long period. 1 month is no time at all. That being said, I didn’t get a positive test (ended in miscarriage) until 11dpo so you’re not out yet. Good luck
