Congratualtions to Charlotte Church on her second pregnancy!

Which leads me to my dilemma.

Ok, so baby is 3 months old now and was unplanned, a huge shock and it's been a hard time getting to being happy where we're at now. However, we're both from big familes and don't want baby to be an only child.

If you didn't plan your first baby, have you considered your second yet?

Also, those with more than one child, in your opinion/experience what is an 'ideal' age gap between each child?

sorry you have been unanswered. I have planed all my pg's but they didn't all work out, lots of people i know ttc but it took alot longer than expected even with their 2nd baby, so based on that. I don't think it's easy to plan babies.
I think a goodish time to try for a second is when your baby is about 11/12 months that way if it takes a while you won't have a too big age gap. although you will have two in nappies for a bit, if it does happen straight away.

I guess if you are young under 35, you might have a bit more time and also be more fertile btw i was very clucky at 3 months post birth it was strange, but did subside a ittle

I think that in general people will say that whatever the age gap for their children is, that is the ideal age gap because there are pros and cons to whatever you want to go with. Mine are 3.5 years apart and I find that a really really good gap, but then there are plenty of posters on here who say that a small gap is good, albeit a lot harder in the early weeks and months. I think we are just happy with whatever we get, in the end.

Agree with uki about the clucky phase being quite intense in those early newborn days, but fading. Why not wait until your baby is 10+ months and then see how you feel?
