My af started today. Mixed feelings, relieved it has come .. but sad that we have gone another cycle of nothing :(

I think I’m going to do as I said and go in cold turkey during this next cycle. No checking ovulation dates, no LH and no pregnancy tests. I’m going to make a note of my next period due date and leave it at that. Tracking causes stress.. so I’m going to try the opposite and see how it goes.

I didn’t test this morning as I was on an overnight stay in a hotel so didn’t bring the ‘bits’ 😅 I was kinda raging this morning but also was nice to not have the pressure of it! I wiped this morning thou and got a slight bit of brown so I have no idea what that means! We did our first night away from our 2 yo, it felt so weird to just be the 2 of us but was a lovely night away!

Hey ladies how are we all feeling I’m like 5dpo trying to keep busy but it keeps popping up in my head hopefully now the kids are going back to school it’ll go a bit quicker, how many dpo/cd is everyone?

@DmcinT so nice to have some time together for you both I hope you had a great time. How many dpo are you? Brown could be implantation or are you near to af? Hope the test is darker tomorrow good luck.

@Lookingtogrowthefamily the peak is definitely over, sharp fall back down to non existent LH Levels quite fast. Hope we caught it. I feel properly in the luteal phase now - cm has totally dried up and boobs very sore. 3dpo today. How are things with you?

so i was looking back on my dates properly there on premom, i got peak April 1st but late at night when i got that really dark 2.4 or something so i suppose ovulation would actually have been the 2nd or even 3rd meaning im actually only either 9 or 10 today, I think I counted as if ovulation was the day I got peak 🫣😅 I think I was just paranoid about having a few drinks last night but only ended up having one cocktail at dinner and was happy out with that tbh!

@Creepyoctopus I’m the same with time passing, I’m a teacher so back tomorrow too and looking forward to the distraction. How are u feeling ur chances are this month?

@DmcinT id be so eager to test if o was you im really hoping to hold out though, im bit 50/50 to be honest we dtd the day before and the day of ovulation and I had a decent peak something just feels a bit off I just want to know though but at the same time I don’t 😂how are you feeling?

Im not too bad thank you just incredibly anxious, but as expected I guess. My toddler will be two on the 21st so I’m feeling v emotional about that and don’t think it’s helping lol x

Just want to update - I forgot who suggested that the big 24mm follicle seen on my 7dpo was probably just the corpus luteum, but looks like you were correct. Today I got my period, exactly 2 weeks after when I thought I ovulated. Phew! What a relief that things have resumed back to normal.

Sadly that means I did not conceive despite having good timing. On my 7dpo scan it looked like my lining was quite thin, which is not usual, so hopefully that was just a fluke of this month. Looking forward to trying again in the new cycle

However, my partner and I actually contacted our private fertility clinic to hopefully try letrozole again so either this cycle or the next we may have some ovulation support :) We usually get monitored scans every few days and then a trigger shot with timed intercourse to help things along. Hope everyone is doing well today

@Plumchumm sorry about af arriving, the positive is to think of it as the first day of ur next pregnancy but I deff always allow myself a day to be sad or frustrated by it all. I find it esp hard when u feel uve times everything well.
Will u do anything different now this cycle?
it’s a nice security to know u can use those extra helps if u want/it’s needed.

I’m due af anyday now really as I should be at least 11 dpo today, hate the waiting but hate the testing and guessing more I think 🥲😅 it’s a toss up!

Fair play @DmcinT on waiting out to test, I don’t know how you have the willpower! I haven’t got anything booked in yet. I self referred over a week ago and it says it can take 1-2 weeks so hoping to hear by the end of this week, if not next week. Trying not to book an early scan, although I did have one with my other two. Really torn

I’m 4dpo and just ordered some pregnancy tests to arrive tomorrow ready for my testing. I’m telling myself I’m not going to test until either 11/12dpo or when I start feeling symptoms (each pregnancy I’ve had I’ve known I was pregnant before I’ve tested as my first symptom is always severe nausea straight away). But I know I’m lying to myself and will start testing in 4 days😂🫠 x

@Lookingtogrowthefamily I had an early scan with my little boy. I was in two minds about it also as I know you can sometimes scan too early and cause more anxiety if the heartbeat is too small to be seen. I think I waited until about 8 weeks. Hopefully you'll get your booking appointment soon, it's so exciting 😀

@Bubs94 snap, 4dpo here too after my enormously long cycle. Pregnancy tests always in stock here now, ready to go 😂

well ladies back to CD1 for me yesterday as af arrived. It would only have been 11, maybe 12 dpo, does that seem a bit short for the luteal phase, I dunno. I think because I ovulated a little earlier too that that cycle felt so short. It was only 25 days max!

onto the next and this is our last one really actively trying for a while, we will take the summer off and reassess come Oct time. Not to be negative because please god this is our month but I’m looking forward to not thinking about it and obsessing over it for a few months, I’m also looking forward to exercising , eating healthy etc.. and losing the stone I’ve put on since we started ttc in Sept!

everything crossed for this cycle though 😅🤞🏽

@DmcinT sorry to hear it hasn't worked out this time and crossing my fingers for this month. Funnily enough I've also put on a stone in the last few months, it coincides with starting TTC. I think I have been stress eating 😂

5dpo here. Any interest I had in this cycle has just disappeared for me, as it has been so long and with the 3 ovulation attempts. I'm just tired of it all atm.

6dpo today. Came down with a really sore throat yesterday and am actually off work today because of it, also purely just exhausted. Tested my LH this morning and it’s rising weirdly. So god knows what’s happening. Trying not to look into it too much though, because I know I’ll be disappointed if I come on next Tuesday🫠

@Bubs94 6dpo today too and feeling under the weather, cold like symptoms! How high is your LH? mine went very high last week and it turned out to be ovulation at day 35.

I am due to go in to my fertile period next week. I do have LH strips but I don’t intend on using them and I don’t plan on buying preg tests. We’ll see how I get on over the next few weeks. It’s always easier said than done ..

We’re around half way through lambing, so still busy! 🐑

@PandaLife nice to hear from you, I fully understand your lower key approach this month. The tracking gets a bit much doesn't it. I feel like saying to my husband if we are not successful this time can we try having sex every 2-3 days from day 14 until my period and see what happens!

How long does lambing go on for? You sound hard at work.

Hi everyone. I'm 5 DPO today and wondering if I can hold out until Sunday to test. Like some others have mentioned I've put weight on too - not sure if all the vitamins are making me bloated too but I do say to DH (and to myself) that at the moment my mind is on other things and loosing weight isn't a top priority. I'm not overweight and exercise regularly but TTC is a stressful time.

Hey everyone I’m 8dpo today and took a Asda home brand test very very negative not feeling very positive for this cycle, also the Asda 4 day early test doesn’t say on the box the sensitivity but it says you can take it 4 days before a missed period but when I looked at the instructions it was 25 mIU/ml, just a heads up in case anyone was thinking of buying it x

@Creepyoctopus thanks for letting us know - that doesn't sound very sensitive for an early test does it. Do you think you'll buy a more sensitive one? I don't think I've used an Asda test before but have tried Tesco. I hope you are hanging in there on the tww x

That’s what I thought I’ve ordered some off eBay which I did on purpose because I knew they’d take longer to come than off of Amazon, no I haven’t actually my local Tesco is quiet far, I do have a Sainsbury’s close by though I’m not doing to bad I’m just thinking about it a lot which is frustrating how are you doing?
