Hi everyone!

Just looking for some thoughts really. Been TTC #2 for four months now and planning ahead for December.

My parents have booked for us all to go away for the weekend to centre parcs in December, and obviously trying for the next month would be bang on the due date for this trip. For my parents, this is a special trip using some of the money from my late grandad.

I'm torn as to whether to try this month or not. I don't want to ruin the trip, however I'm having a lot of issues in my cycle which is concerning me for TTC. In addition, I really hate my job, so it was a decision between getting a new job or TTC and I'm conscious that every month I'm not successful I'm stuck there another month

Any thoughts? I don't believe my parents took out the flexible booking at centre parks so don't think it can be moved

The thing is, even if you hold off of ttc for just one month and then carry on then you could potentially still be very very pregnant at centre parcs. Personally when I was ttc I just kept going, regardless of what was planned ahead in the future because it is so uncertain how long it will even take. It took 18months with my first, 6 months with my second, 5 years with my 3rd and I fell straight away with my 4th so all over the place.
Worst comes to the worse you will still be in the UK and it's only for a weekend.

I really wouldn’t put your life on hold for TTC. Hopefully it will be quick for you but it could take a little longer and you’d probably kick yourself if you miss out on the family trip without needing to. And it will be something to look forward to :)

My first took 2 years to conceive and we’re now 18 months in for #2 and I still find myself calculating my possible due date when making plans, so I totally get it! I had the same job question early on in TTC #1 and decided to switch jobs and I’m really glad I did rather than staying somewhere I wasn’t happy.

If it puts your mind at rest, skip this month and then if you fall pregnant next month, you’ll still be in the UK at least as the previous poster said. Good luck!
