Urgh. My cycle is normally 28 days and I'm on day 32. I didn't ovulate till day 20 so I'm 12DPO. Still testing negative on a cheapy test and Clearblue. I assume my period is just late because surely it would show by now? Had small amount of brown spotting for 24 hours. TTC is such a rollercoaster.

Do you normally ovulate so late?
If you ordinarily ovulate day 20, and have a 28 day cycle, that's a very short luteal phase.

If you don’t normally ovulate that late, then a delayed ovulation would also mean you would likely have a delayed period as usually people’s luteal phase is quite consistent.

As others have said your luteal phase normally stays pretty much the same. So if you ovulate much later than usual your period will be later than usual as well. So if you normally track, see how many dpo you normally get your period. That should tell you when to expect it this month.

Yes this has been concerning me. An OBGYN told me 10 days is acceptable but not ideal...

Usually around day 18 so a 10 day luteal phase but not ideal I know 😑

It's only 2 days later (ish) but I've only been ovulation testing for a few months so haven't got lots of data to go on!
