Can anyone explain (10 dpo)

Hi all, wondering if anyone could help me understand what might be likely happening here. I am 99.9% sure conception happened as have been feeling ridiculously pregnant for the last week. The symptoms were almost instant and exactly same as when I conceived first 2 children: huge, sore boobs, peeing lots, headaches, hot tummy the lot. Not mild and imagined, completely all consuming and like my body instantly remembered and knew. Period not due for another 5 days. Since yesterday, don’t feel quite as pregnant (boobs still a bit sore) and peed on stick (clear blue extra early) this am and negative. I’m 10po. Does it sound like maybe implantation failed? If it was likely just too early still wouldn’t symptoms be getting stronger and stronger now instead of less? Thanks for anyone with any experience of this.

Estimates vary but they think more than 50% of fertilised eggs fail to implant (you can Google this if you want to see studies).
So if you can genuinely feel something from a fertilised egg before it implants, then most of the time it will end in a bfn.
Sorry if that sounds too clinical and you were after empathy!
I will say that 10dpo is reasonably early for a reliable result anyway. The most likely day for implantation is 9dpo and you need 1-2 days to see enough HCG for an early test.

Thanks, yes this makes sense to me and as I thought. If implantation had/has happened successfully, pregnancy symptoms would surely only be getting stronger and stronger correct?

Only way to be 99.9% sure is a positive HCG test I'm afraid, when period is due or late.

Good luck in any case

Well I mean I don't see how you can actually have pregnancy symptoms prior to implantation to be honest! But maybe science has yet to discover some clever way bodies can tell the difference between a fertilised egg and a non-fertilised egg being swept along your tubes 🤷🤣 Who knows!
