Could this be a chemical?

Hi! First month TTC so not a lot of knowledge yet. I felt like I may have been pregnant this month due to symptoms I don’t usually experience, but I got my period when it was due. So I just thought that was that.

the odd thing for me is that my periods are always the same, but this time it’s been significantly heavier, lasting longer (on day 4 I’m usually done but it’s still fresh and medium/heavy) and I keep having a mild pain in my uterus (nothing severe).

wondering if this might mean it was a chemical? Just as it’s so unusual.. my periods have never been like this. Thanks for any thoughts - I know it doesn’t change anything - but just curious in case it impacts cycle this month.

Before TTC were you on hormonal birth control? The couple of times Ive had a chemical it didn’t impact my next cycle I still ovulated the same sort of time next cycle. If you have not tracked or tried for a baby before I would recommend getting some ovulation lh strips and doing them for a few cycles to really learn when you ovulate. I remember being shocked when we first TTC as I ovulate quite in my cycle between day 18-22

Did you ever test positive on a pregnancy test? Normally you would test positive on an early pregnancy test if having a chemical. I did, and tested strongly positive for about 2 weeks after my miscarriage although my "period" came on time. Just to warn you.
