Really?? Come on its a postive. Why did you post this? I'm reporting you

FigAboutTheRules · 09/11/2025 17:15

Positive. Congratulations! Honestly why anyone would report you for wanting confirmation is beyond me. Hope all goes well.

Feralpupwouldnotchangehimfortheworld · 09/11/2025 17:17

That is a very strong positive! Congratulations!

Really?

Quite clearly a positive.

Feralpupwouldnotchangehimfortheworld · 09/11/2025 17:20

First pp I think you’re being mean. You know nothing about the OP. I spent years trying to get pregnant, staring at evaporation lines willing them to be positive… I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got a real positive, OP may be in similar situation. Be nice.

I agree, come on @ThisArtfulBear, was this designed to make those struggling with infertility feel bad? Or just bragging? Either way it’s immature and pathetic.

Feralpupwouldnotchangehimfortheworld · 09/11/2025 17:27

@TheresGlitterAllOverMyHouse if you’ve suffered infertility (as I have) you would know the pain of seeing those faint lines that turn out to not actually be positive tests, and the sheer joy and fear (in case it’s a mistake) of a positive test.
if you are going through infertility and the sight of a positive test is triggering for you, don’t click on these type of threads!

I know you quoted someone else and sorry for jumping on.
I think seeing a clear line and posting 'is this a line' is just silly. If someone was posting with a faint line and asking, then I can be understanding! I'm all for people getting pregnant but bragging and wanting a 'congratulations' is just childish to me

Wow , I didn’t expect such negative responses and genuinely thought it was normal to post tests for confirmation.I apologise if this is the wrong forum for this.
Ive had several miscarriages and HAVE experienced the heartbreak of having false positives before . The last pregnancy I had was a missed miscarriage and has deeply affected my ability to look at pregnancy in a positive way, which is why I haven’t tried again until age 38. I was convinced I could never be pregnant and I’m still terrified.

I probably won’t be using this forum anymore but thank you to everyone else for their kindness. I really appreciate it.

I hear you op, I’ve been in your shoes, I’ve stared at the lines and had multiple miscarriages when I have had positive tests. After the positive tests it’s terrifying as I discovered that even when you miscarry the tests still show positive for a while so it’s really hard to trust them.

I really hope this is your one. Wishing you all the very best and luck xx

Thank you for this. I’d convinced myself I couldn’t have children for years now. I also had very convincing false positives, so I just wanted someone else to tell me.

I really appreciate your kindness and understanding so much. It actually made me a bit tearful . Thank you so much ❤️

It’s normal to post tests for confirmation but that tends to be really really faint ones which could go either way. Your test is unequivocally positive and I would gently suggest these tests aren’t for you if such a clear positive still gives you anxiety as to whether it’s a false or not and get one of the digital ones which say pregnant / not pregnant (TBH after lots of losses myself I could never believe a test unless it was clear in black and white words)

hope this is a successful pregnancy OP x

Ok, I didn’t know the rules. I can swear I’ve seen loads of posts where it looked obvious to me but I understood that it doesn’t feel like that when you’re in the situation yourself or someone may be in shock. However Its my fault for sharing this with randoms on the internet!

You’re right though, I’m going to take a digital one in the morning.

All the best to you wherever you are in your journey.

You’re coming across as nasty @Pirating55. So what it was a clear line? So what if she did just want people to say congratulations? Yes most women will experience a loss, I can assure you that is very different from recurrent losses. You are capable of just scrolling past without having to be bitchy.

OP has explained her reasons (not that she should have to explain).

OP you’ve unfortunately happened across a couple of horrible posters. Don’t feel you need to come off Mumsnet just because of these.

I went through a decade of infertility and recurrent miscarriages and I found amazing support on here, you will find it too. I understand how scary it is and how you can mistrust tests. 6 of my miscarriages were showing positive on the same days my scans showed the pregnancy had gone, I totally understand where your head is at. The infertility board may be a better place to get support x
